Watch out, this place could steal a piece of your heart! the hostel is the perfect location if you want balance in your life, its not a party hostel but the family feel means lots of guests stay longer, if you want to party you can find it but a normal day is watching the sunset or spotting whales from the terraza. If you're looking to be in the centre of the action doing drinking games every day this isn't for you, or if you need constant guidance on the job, but the job is super easy, and you can chill and do your own thing a lot of the time. I absolutely loved it here and cant wait to return

My experience at the hostel Tamarindos was really good !! The hostel is really good with great facilities. The job is accessible and you don't feel like working. JC prepare everything for you so your shift is easier. The people I volunteered with were also really nice. I recommend it !

I worked mainly in activities and marketing, and I truly enjoyed every part of it. From the beginning, there was always clear and open communication, which made everything much easier and more enjoyable.JC, the manager, is super friendly, supportive, and always willing to help you with anything you need. He really cares about the volunteers and makes you feel comfortable and valued as part of the team.One of the best things about the hostel is the location. You can explore many beautiful places around Puerto Escondido, or simply stay at the hostel and make the most of your free time.

Hacer voluntariado en surf nest fue una experiencia increíble y muy especial para mí, ya que fue mi primer voluntariado. Desde el primer día te hacen sentir como en familia. Me encargué de apoyar en redes sociales y en actividades con los huéspedes, y siempre hubo una confianza, aprendizaje y muy buena vibra. El ambiente es relajado, auténtico y perfecto para convivir y conocer gente de todo el mundo. Mención especial para Jc que es súper buena onda, siempre atento y con una energía que hace que todo fluya naturalmente. Sin duda Surf Nest te lo recomiendo totalmente 🫰🏼

Esta experiencia fue enriquecedora, creamos una hermosa comunidad como voluntarios pero también con huéspedes que se volvieron familia, conocer otros lugares, costumbres e idiomas fue muy fácil y divertido en compañía de tanta diversidad. Disfruté mucho de las áreas comunes del hostel y de la accesibilidad. El host con su amabilidad hizo de la experiencia algo muy ameno sin embargo una comunicación asertiva mejoraría aun más la experiencia. Amo que es un lugar tranquilo que se siente como hogar y ¡agradezco mucho la oportunidad que me dieron de estar aquí y aprender tanto de Puerto!

Mi experiencia en este voluntariado fue padrísima! 🙌🏼 El lugar es muy bonito, está en constante remodelación, lo que hace todo muy dinámico. Conocí personas de muchos países y conecté genuinamente con ellas. Al ser un hostal tranquilo, los viajeros se quedan varios días y se sienten como familia. Practiqué muchísimo mi inglés y gané fluidez. El host suele ser flexible y atento; en algunos momentos la comunicación pudo ser más clara, pero entiendo que el ritmo y los cambios influyen. Aprendí mucho, conocí gente increíble y lugares maravillosos! Gracias por la oportunidad! 🌞

Jc is a very chill and cool guy the work isn't that hard and you get a nice bed in a shared room with ac overall great experience would recommend

Mi experiencia en el hostel Tamarindo fue genial, fue mi mejor experiencia en voluntariados. El lugar está increíble, hay muy buen ambiente. El rooftop para ver los atardeceres es lo mejor 😍😍😍. El equipo es genial, Jc el manager siempre esta presente, y junto con Ariz me hicieron sentir siempre parte del equipo apoyándonos en cualquier horario y siempre con buena voluntad, en mi caso tuve unos problemas personales al principio de mi voluntariado, y Jc fue totalmente comprensivo para ayudarme en lo que necesite por lo cual siempre voy a estar agradecido. Sin duda volvería...

Overall, my experience was pleasant. I was able to improve my English skills and learn more about opening up and connecting with people. I met very nice people and made good connections. However, there was one aspect I didn't like: communication. To confirm that I had been accepted, they sent me a message only one day before the agreed start date, which forced me to change my plans and postpone my arrival by 15 days. Later, I requested an extension for a second month, which was accepted, but the departure date was not respected and did not match what had been previously agreed.
