Volunteering with this organization was an incredibly positive and memorable experience. From the first day, I was welcomed by both the teachers the students and the other volunteer. Everyone was friendly, open, and always willing to help. Especially in the beginning they invited me to go out with them, showed me around the area, and helped me feel at home in a new environment. Eyeryone was always eager to learn more german and more about my culture even after the lessons. Overall im very gratefull for the time i spent with them and for the friends i made there.

I had a great time at the school. From the students, some friendships have arisen. I can definitely recommend the school. The employees are all super nice and always greet you with a smile. They are super helpful and it is fun to work at the school.

I had an amazing time at the school! What stood out the most to me were the people. The staff, students and other volunteers are truly some of the nicest, most welcoming people I've met and I've made such cherished friendships during my stay. At times, things can feel a bit unorganized. Some other volunteers didn't get to teach once certain courses ended, so there were moments when there wasn't much to do. However, everyone was always helpful and you end up with lots of free time to explore Lombok rather than working a full 25h/week. Overall, great place and great people. Thank u for everything!

My stay at DS was very nice. I quickly met lots of lovely new people & developed friendships. I enjoyed the activities we did together & was able to gain experience in teaching both off- & online. I probably arrived in Lombok at an inopportune time, as there wasn't much work for me to do initially. However, Girind & Tobi are always willing to listen & are very helpful, so I was able to tell them about points I wasn't happy with, which they improved immediately. If you're a light sleeper like me, you should be aware that there are 3 mosques nearby singing at 4.30 a.m. Thank u for everything! <3
