Minha experiência com the hostel teve altos e baixos. Conheci pessoas incríveis, o que melhorou bastante a experiência, mas senti falta de um acolhimento mais humanizado. Às vezes, éramos tratados como trabalhadores gratuitos, sem muita consideração pelo que somos. A equipe tem seus favoritos, e quem não se encaixa bem acaba ficando de lado. Além disso, percebi certa falsidade no meio da cadeia de hostels, o que não contribuiu para um ambiente saudável. SAIBA QUE VOCÊ TRABALHA BASTANTE. A experiência foi válida, mas o tratamento dos voluntários poderia ser mais respeitoso, genuíno e acolhedor!

Para ser hóspede no the hostel é bem divertido, fazem várias atividades de interação, mas para ser voluntária no the hostel Batló não tive uma boa experiência..

Fiquei 4 semanas no One Fam e conheci pessoas maravilhosas ( em grande parte outros voluntários ) que fizeram minha estadia indescritível! Você fica em um flat a 3 minutos do hostel que realmente a proposta é só dormir lá pois não tem internet nem cozinha. E talvez você acabe trabalhando mais do que 25h em algumas semanas. Acredito que a experiência de maneira geral contribuiu muito para o meu desenvolvimento mas também grande parte não teria sido tão boa sem as pessoas incríveis que conheci. No final da experiência tive um desentendimento com o anfitrião.

Ana worked 16 shifts over the course of her 4 week stay, averaging 24 hrs of work per week. The dissagreement was that she left before her agreed leaving date giving us little notice and refused to complete her final shift, which she had agreed previosly to do so, resulting in another member of the team (one of the other 'wonderful' volunteers) having to take her shift. Very dissapointing work ethic and commitment to her promises.

Ana trabalhou em 16 turnos ao longo de sua estadia de 4 semanas, com uma média de 24 horas de trabalho por semana. O desacordo foi que ela saiu antes da data de saída acordada, nos avisando com pouca antecedência, e se recusou a completar seu último turno, o que ela havia concordado anteriormente, fazendo com que outro membro da equipe (um dos outros voluntários “maravilhosos”) tivesse que assumir seu turno. A ética de trabalho e o compromisso com suas promessas são muito decepcionantes.

I spent 5 weeks at the hostel Paralelo and was very sad to leave! Overall, it was an amazing experience because of the people you meet (staff, volunteers and guests) and the experience to learn how a successful hostel chain works! When we were fully staffed we worked about 20-25 hours a week which was perfect, some weeks we were understaffed and had to work about 32 hours which was a bit tough. There are 3 types of shifts - day shift (taking the guests on tours), party shift (cooking, leading drinking games and pub crawl) and night shift (cleaning bathrooms, kitchen, folding laundry, reception).

Had the absolute BEST TIME at the hostel Battlo!!!! I miss the crew dearly, especially the receptionists (Angel and Charlie) and of course the one and only MATTEA, who is such a gem on this earth. It was an incredibly social environment with a fun array of shifts, and you honestly become a family with this crew. I'm sad I wasn't able to be there for longer. You get to meet the most incredible people from all over the world, and I'm just glad I was able to be a part of it! Love you all <3

Me encantó mi experiencia en One Fam, todos son muy sociales, el equipo es increíble y no se siente el trabajo, es como salir a disfrutar Barcelona con amigos. La terraza es increíble y tienes un departamento solo para voluntarios. Recomiendo este lugar mucho!!!

The hostel Ramblas was a home away from home. Even though it was my first ever volunteering experience of this kind, I absolutely loved every minute. The shifts were really chill and everyone always helped each other out. You had plenty of free time to take day trips around Spain. The managers were super nice and understanding. And while the Ramblas flat is hardly a five star hotel, I'll still miss the experience of living in Barcelona by the beach.

Mayra was an incredible member of our team in the summer! She is hard-working, super fun, and responds really well to feedback. She socialized with all guests, brought a lot of energy to all her shifts (especially party shift; drinking games with Mayra meant guaranteed FUN), and brightened any room she stepped into. I would 100% have her on the team again :)

Volunteering at the hostel was such an amazing experience! From day one I felt super welcome and part of the family. The vibe is so fun and friendly!! The shifts were explained well and the work itself was really manageable, which left plenty of time to join all the activities !! What really made it special was the people: both the staff and the guests. Everyone was so open and supportive, it honestly felt like a second home. I had the best time here and made memories I'll never forget. Would 100% recommend volunteering at the hostel if you want good times, great people, and lots of fun! <3

I arrived at the hostel Les Corts with no expectations, only the fear that I wouldn't feel at ease. Instead, from day one I found the opposite: so much love and a true spirit of family. Strangers quickly became close friends, and I felt at home even though I was far from mine. This experience genuinely changed my life. I didn't work, I found a second family and unforgettable memories. A special thanks to Camilla, the manager of Les Corts: professional, caring, and truly incredible at making every inter live the best experience ever. Les Corts will always have a piece of my heart <3
