I feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to contribute to this awesome project! Ita and Todd are the kindest hosts, and between them and Brian, there is no shortage of interesting stories! The accommodation was very comfortable and the home cooked meals were delicious. Ita always went above and beyond to accommodate everyone's allergies and preferences. The work tasks are seasonal and weather dependent - I did lots of painting and general upkeep around the property during my stay. I have the best time and hope to return in the future:)

We had an amazing time at the castillo! From the beginning onwards Todd and Ita made sure to make us feel very welcome, which I really appreciated. The tasks varied greatly from cleaning to gardening to painting etc. Not to forget, Ita would make amazing dinners for everyone which we shared altogether with all the volunteers and the family which was a fun way to end the day. In terms of taking a day off they were super flexible! Overall a very chill and fun experience surrounded by beautiful greens and nice company!

Woah! What an amazing stay at the castle. Todd and Ida are the most welcoming hosts and people I have ever met! They are so lovely, genuine, caring and funny! They really make the castle feel like your home as well. The jobs are varied and there is something for everyone, from gardening, painting, organizing, cleaning, building, repairing, fire building and much more. Ida cooks delicious meals for everyone every night and was so accommodating of my allergies. After a day of work cozy up in front of a fire with either Todd or Idas amazing novels! Can't wait to come back in the future :)

I find it almost impossible to overstate how great my experience has been! From day one, the family treated me with warmth, respect, and hospitality. It truly felt like working in my own home. The property is big and there's lots to do, but Ita and Todd organize everything very well. Once I showed interest in certain tasks, they trusted me, gave me independence, and supported me. The accommodations are super comfortable and Ita's cooking is delicious and plentiful. I'll truly miss being here and amongst the family, but that is all the more motivation to hopefully visit again soon!

I travelled together with my partner Iza and stayed 3 weeks at Ita and Todd's castle! We had an amazing time and felt very welcome from the moment we were in contact. Their project is big and admirable and with that come a lot of different tasks for us to do! It was really exciting to see being able to contribute to their project! Ita, Todd, Eoin and Brian are such warm, welcoming, funny and kind people and made our time here so great. As well as the company of their dogs Mia and Black Dog, aka Nico, was really nice and am missing them already! I am very excited to come back sometime soon :)

The Castle where the wind sings by the stone, I arrived as a traveller, never felt alone. An old home resting gently among fields of green. They welcomed me there , A kindhearted family. The dogs, joyful guardians of day and night. Trotting beside us. There energy flowed pure, thoughtful and wise. We volunteers lives like family, side by side. No Doors locked, no need to hide. Just shared meals, shared work, shared peace. A gentle rythm where worries cease. I carry this place now, deep in m'y heart, though I've traveled on, we are never apart.

I had the absolute pleasure of volunteering at the farm, and I can't recommend it highly enough! From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with open arms — the people here are genuinely kind, warm, and full of good energy. The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, wholesome, and prepared with so much love. The accommodation was also lovely: clean, comfortable, and cozy, with a peaceful atmosphere that made it easy to relax and feel at home.I learned so much, shared amazing conversations, I hope to return soon:)

Una experiencia única. Los horarios de trabajo son flexibles y las tareas son variadas, lo cual hace que sea siempre diferente y entretenido. Los anfitriones son amables y atentos. La comida es perfecta y las comodidades son confortables. Dicho esto, no hay más que palabras de agardeciemniento por darnos el permiso a los voluntarios de vivir el sueño. Este es un punto en el viaje donde podes recargar energías, disfrutar, ayudar, relajar y trabajar. Para poder seguir con viento a favor y los pulmones llenos de oxígeno. Gracias por los momentos que pronto serán recuerdos y espero volver a verlos

Ita, Todd, Owen & Breen (mia y black dog too) te reciben con tanto cariño que, al irte, no solo sientes que dejas un destino de viaje, sino que dejas un verdadero hogar🍀 Intercambio de muchos mundillos y culturas se suceden en este lugar. This was our first Worldpackers experience, and it was absolutely amazing! The accommodation and property are beautiful. Ita, Todd, Eoin, and Brién are super friendly and make you feel welcome. Ita's food is incredible and she even makes vegan versions of every dinner! And Brién bakes fresh bread every evening (and tells the best stories). We had dinner together every night, creating a familiar atmosphere. There are many different tasks, and you can take your two free days flexibly. We had such a great time with the family and other volunteers, and we'll definitely come back one day!
