Work (cleaning) is easy to learn and not very hard; managers accommodate your shift requests and are really nice. Hanging out with other volunteers was one of the few good things of the experience. Host provides the benefits claimed on the app but the kitchen, shared with guests, is really dirty and unequipped. Very often, I didn't even have forks and spoons to eat, while I could use pens even though they were either broken or scratched. Place looks more like a hotel, so don't expect the classic hostel life. Finally, the hotel is in the middle of nowhere, 30 mins away from the centre by tram.

Photos on the page are of the wrong place, very misleading. area is industrial Restaurant's nice, rooms are alright, but kitchen's always dirty and very dark. no dedicated hangout space for volunteers. Felt like hotel management just used us for work, but my housekeeping managers were very nice. What made my experience good were the people, the place is so odd but you bond with the ppl, made many friends. Would've left 3 stars but were many times where male volunteers had inappropriate behavior with female volunteers, management were told many times and did nothing, I find this unacceptable.

Hey Tristan, interesting to read that “nothing was done”, since every time behaviour issues were reported to us we acted on it. Would have been nice if you had spoken to us directly instead of saving it for the internet.

It is a great place to meet new people. A lot of new experiences and stories. You won't interact with Dennis and Marcel (owners of the hotel), but the volunteers that I stayed with were lovely people.

My experience was good but mostly because of the team of volunteers, there was good energy and desire to have good time. Regarding my task I think I had one of the easiest ones. The hosts were there but always working and interacting very little with the volunteers. The hostel is not in The Hague, but in very close city and for many that is frustrating, as well as the photos on the platform are not those of the place, that's is something that would be good update. The best thing is the breakfast!!! Thanks 💖✌🏻

I had a nice time here - but I wouldn't recommend it to people if you're looking for a typical travel/hostel experience. Majority of people staying in the hostel are long stay guests who either study/work full time/or have moved to the Netherlands and are looking for other accommodation in the meantime. The work was fine for me as I was in the kitchen, the bar work is also good. Other people had mixed reviews about housekeeping etc. Rijswijk as a location doesn't have much going on nearby. But it's easy enough to get into the hauge centre and surrounding cities.

Volunteering at the hostel for a month was a challenging and constructive experience. I developed communication skills, a sense of community, and learned housekeeping. However, it's more a hotel than a hostel, with over 100 rooms and no community vibe or engagement activities. The accommodations are great, breakfast is excellent, and Johnny makes a great macchiato. But the kitchen is often messy, and there's no dedicated volunteer space. Overall, a good experience, but improvements are needed for me to consider returning.

I stayed there for one month. It was great to make friendships etc. The best part of the location is you can go to delft by foot! Just 3km!!! Train station is also very close. Thanks to Rasim for his helps! :) Made experience even better!

It is a very interesting place, I am very happy to have the experience and to be part of the team. It is a stylish and creative place with very interesting common areas. The building is safe and has a good team atmosphere. Cheers the hostel!!
