I had an amazing time at the hostel! I really felt like it was home during my stay, since Kito, Julietta and Susu were the kindest & sweetest host. I had my best time there and got to learn a lot and I had the chance to go to an English class with Kito, which was great to see, what kind of influence it had on the kids with this social project. Also, I had the chance to integrate with the local people there which was amazing. If you are into surfing and surf-skateboarding this is definitely the place to go! Thank you so much Kito, Julieta & Susu ♥️ I would love to come back & visit you.

I had a very good experience at this hostel! You just cannot dislike the host (if you do then you might be the problem), he's just very sweet and kind, and makes the whole place comfortable and cozy! In the winter season, there is not that much going on in the hostel, but this gave us the opportunity to hang out more with the locals and go surfing, and just hangout with a nice evening fire at the hostel. Also their surf skateboards are very cool!!! All in all I can just recommend this place and I hope I get the chance to visit once again to say Hi!:)

Mi estadía en el hostel Ohalu fue de lejos increíble. Todo el tiempo sentí que estaba como viviendo en una familia, tanto con los hosts como con los otros voluntarios. Tuve la oportunidad de ser parte de la vida local, conocer personas increíbles, aprender sobre su cultura, su idioma y además estar cerca de paisajes increíbles. El supermercado, restaurantes, farmacias, barberías, papelerías, etc. Todo está súper cerca. Kito y Julieta son los mejores hosts, están dispuestos a ayudar con todo, dan horarios flexibles y saben escuchar. Volvería mil veces

The hostel was an amazing experience! Kito and Juliette are great hosts and I felt very welcome. It was also a perfect opportunity to learn how to surf which I really enjoyed, thank you Kito and Juliette!

El hostel es un hostel bien familiar y acogedor , las tareas a realizar son súper tranquilas y se respetan los horarios . Gracias a Julieta y a Kito por las buenas vibras y las buenas ondas . Gran surf en Itanhaém

El hostel fue el lugar que me recibió cuando llegué por primera vez a Brasil, allí me encontré con Kito y Julieta que aunque son los dueños y anfitriones hacen vida con los voluntarios como si fueran uno más. Esto hace que el ambiente sea muy familiar y y la rutina en la casa sea planear en conjunto y compartirlo todo. el hostel respira música y surf , si estás buscando dedicarle un tiempo de calidad a cualquiera de éstas dos cosas, sin prisas y con mucho amor éste es el sitio ideal. Agradecida de corazón a Kito y Julieta, por crear de manera genuina un espacio de troca cultural tan especial❤

Mi primer voluntariado fue en el hostel y me siento muy feliz de haberlo escogido. ❤️ Julieta y Kito son maravillosos anfitriones, muy generosos, atentos y sobre todo buena onda. De ellos aprendí a llevar la vida con más ligereza, con más "parcería" y humildad. Me divertí mucho y aprendí lo que es vivir en comunidad y sobre todo, cuidarnos los unos a los otros en momentos donde lo necesitamos. Agradezco toda la paciencia, el esfuerzo y el cariño que nos dieron durante este tiempo, me sentí en casa y espero volver algún día a visitarlos. Gracias de corazón!!

Overall, I just had the best time at volunteering over there. The owners are just the best and it's pretty much guaranteed that you will have a great experience. This place also seems to attract the best people, every other volunteer were amazing and we just felt like a little family. Also, it is a great place to learn how to surf if it's something that's interesting to you, I definitely recommend.

I couldn't recommend this volunteering experience more highly! The atmosphere, our late dinners all togerher, Kito and Julieta's surf lessons, the house.. I felt right at home during those two weeks and we were like a family with the other volunteers. We worked a few hours a day and then went to learn to surf all together on the beach, a 30-minute walk away. It's the perfect place to learn to surf! Working hours are flexible during the week, and weekends are a bit more intense. Nossa, I have wonderful memories of Itanhaém... 🤙🏻 ps: Hope you will don't forget the French I taught you!
