Rebuild Nahualcali: Hands, Heart & Healing After the Storm
A experiência
Nahualcali is a community sanctuary in Chacahua National Park, Oaxaca. After Hurricane Erick (June 2025), we’re rebuilding with help from volunteers skilled in carpentry, gardening, and art. We offer camping, breakfast, and a shared kitchen. Nature is wild here — expect bugs, animals, and rustic living. Please bring no plastic or trash — we live simply and tread lightly.

Detalhes
Nahualcali is an eco-retreat-style sanctuary inside Chacahua National Park in Oaxaca, Mexico, encircled by the sea, mangroves, lagoons, and wildlife. After Hurricane Erick (June 2025), we’re rebuilding using natural materials, art, and community care—offering a blend of purposeful work and deep nature immersion. As a hosted experience, we provide structure and support, with individuals contributing to our shared vision of restoration.
Atividades & Turnos
Workload: ~4–5 hours/day, 5 days/week
Tasks include:
Rebuilding cabins, palapas, and communal areas using palm, wood & reclaimed materials.
Garden clean-up, landscaping, composting & replanting
Artistic projects such as murals, sign-making, and creative restoration
Organization and maintenance of common areas

Regras
No plastic or disposable packaging—we cannot manage trash removal.
Respect the wildlife—expect animals, bugs, mosquitoes; tread lightly.
No loud music or parties after 10 pm—this is a quiet, healing retreat.
Take care of tools, shared spaces, and each other.
Be flexible, proactive, and responsible—we’re hosted, not communal, and appreciate attention to guidelines.
We kindly ask you to treat our kitchen utensils with love and care, as they’re shared by all. If something gets accidentally broken, we’d appreciate a small contribution to help us replace it—this way, we can keep our kitchen cozy and welcoming for everyone.
