How the Volunteer Program Works
We believe in mutual respect: we give respect and expect the same in return. Volunteers are expected to complete the agreed working hours with seriousness and commitment. We aim to create a warm, family-like atmosphere, where everyone feels welcome and at ease.
We do not tolerate toxic behavior, manipulation, yelling, or any form of aggression. This is a safe space — and anyone who disrespects that will be asked to leave. No games, no drama.
Volunteers are welcome to connect with others if they wish, but we also respect your space.
As for me — I’m a former semi-professional dancer (Lindy Hop), and I’m happy to give dance classes to anyone interested. I also have 30 years of experience as a chef, and in the evenings, we cook together. I love sharing recipes, techniques, and kitchen skills with volunteers who want to learn.
Our goal is to make this a fun, enriching, and inspiring experience for everyone — where work, creativity, and community come together.
Atividades & Turnos
Volunteers are expected to work 5 hours per day, Monday to Friday. If you have school, work, or personal obligations, we’re flexible — shifts can be adjusted with open communication.
In the evenings, we cook and eat together. Cleaning the kitchen afterwards is part of the deal — not just a task, but part of a respectful, shared life. I’ve worked as a professional chef for 30 years, so meals are healthy, high-quality, and often a great moment to share skills. I also make artisan ice cream, which you’ll definitely get to enjoy!
I’m open to new ideas and suggestions — but I will always have the final say. This is my home and project, and I ask for that to be respected.
If you accidentally break something, no problem — mistakes happen. But I expect you to contact your insurance to cover the damage. You will never be personally charged, unless something is broken on purpose.
As long as we treat each other with respect, everything flows well.
Regras
Respect is the foundation here. We ask all volunteers to behave with kindness, calmness, and maturity. This is not a party place. Moderate socializing is fine, but loud parties or excessive alcohol use are not allowed. We value peace, balance, and a safe environment for everyone involved.
We do not tolerate toxic behavior, shouting, manipulation, or any kind of aggression. If such behavior occurs, we will immediately take action.
From my experience, I can say that Worldpackers is very strong when it comes to protecting both volunteers and hosts. If any serious misconduct happens, we will report it directly to Worldpackers — and we will request the removal of that person from the platform.
In the case of aggressive or dangerous behavior, we won’t hesitate to contact local authorities, in collaboration with Worldpackers. Everyone’s safety comes first.
If you come with respect and good energy, you’ll be warmly welcomed and feel right at home.
