Voluntariar no hostel foi muito bom, equipe super animada, trabalho divertido e aberto para conhecer muitas pessoas. Meu único problema foi gosto pessoal com a cidade, não estou acostumado com calor e tantos mosquitos, mas novamente, nada a ver com o hostel, apenas a cidade.

Ser DJ en el hostel fue un honor. Este bar es realmente atípico en Palomino y tiene una energía muy especial. Me encantó poder mezclar todo tipo de música, como dancehall, música electrónica, reggae, salsa, pop de los años 80, entre otros estilos. El equipo de DJ era excelente y los horarios siempre se respetaron. Quiero agradecer especialmente a Manu, quien me ayudó mucho a descubrir y entender los estilos de música colombiana que conocía muy poco. Gracias también a Vladimir por la confianza, al equipo del bar y que prepara las mejores caipiriñas, y a los voluntarios. ¡Chimba!

Perfect place to get to know people and if you like to party and have a good time ;) The staff is really motivated to help you improve your Spanish and is overall super friendly. The dance classes are fun, the music is good and the dorm is valid. Really nice volunteering position!

Las tareas asignadas fueron de acuerdo al perfil. El equipo del hostel es muy activo, muy atentos tod@s, me sentí muy bien recibida, gracias a Vladimir que estuvo atento a mis mensajes, Manuel, Johanna, Paola, Sandra, Finalmente, David, todos. Stefan en la casa es muy atenta. En definitiva es una experiencia multicultural para vivir y repetir, súper cerquita a la playa y con muchos beneficios. Gracias por la oportunidad

I love the hostel! Everyone working there, plus the locals and travelers, were super sweet—I honestly feel like I made friends for life. I'd definitely recommend volunteering here if you're into parties. The shifts weren't difficult either; I mainly just had to talk to people, which made it easy to connect, get to know others, and practice my Spanish. Personally, I didn't enjoy the volunteer meal, but the beds were clean and the hostel was well maintained overall. Such a great experience

I cant say enough good things about the staff/ family at the hostel. They are very welcoming and fun loving. The connections as well as the friendships I made here fill my soul with joy. I hope to return here someday with the comfort of knowing that I have family here, and now and forever will be a part of a backpackers tradition that I hope will continue for years to come. Thank you to everyone that made this part of my journey so special.

Mi voluntariado en María el hostel fue una experiencia que me llevo en el corazón. Pude aportar con fotos y videos mientras disfrutaba de un ambiente lleno de alegría, lo más valioso fue el equipo, siempre tan cálido y amable, Paola y Johanna fueron dos personas demasiado lindas que estuvieron muy al pendiente de mí, lo que hizo que me sintiera cómoda desde el primer momento. Y Manuel siempre estuvo en disposición en pro a que la estadía fuera una experiencia agradable, dispuesto a resolver cualquier inquietud. Sin duda, un lugar donde uno no solo trabaja, sino que también vive momentos únicos.

A super nice experience I highly recommend if you like to talk to people and learn more about them! I had great encounters, and the atmosphere between the whole team is great. If you like to party Palomino is made for you, and if you also like nature your place is there too! I 100% recommend this experience it was my first and I don't regret it at all, bring mosquito repellent!!️ ⚠️🚨

My time at María the hostel was amazing! The vibe is super chill, the team is welcoming, and the energy of the place just makes you feel at home. I got to connect with travelers from all over the world, and every day felt like a new adventure. Thank you for everything — I had such a great time and would 100% recommend it to anyone looking for a good volunteer experience on the coast. A total vibe!
