I had such a great and cozy stay with the shelter! The work was mostly physical, just like it was described, but honestly really satisfying. the shelter and Cyril were always around to explain how things should be done, and they were super helpful if I had any questions. The schedule was flexible, which made it easy to adapt to the weather or personal plans. There's a ton to explore in the area — castles, cute old towns, and plenty of spots to swim or just chill in nature. If you're into animals, love being outside, and don't mind some physical work, I'd totally recommend this experience!

I had a great time living with the shelter and family. There was always delicious homemade yogurt in the fridge and the house was nice and cozy. Me and the other volunteers worked the 5 hours a day, and when we worked was very flexible. You could sleep in and start later, or the other way around which was nice. It's definitely hard work and it gets very hot in the summer, but the house is nice and cool. And there is lots to do in the surrounding cities on your days off. All in all i had a great time and would definitely recommend if you want to experience french countryside and work outside ☺️

It was an amazing experience, I highly recommend it! the shelter welcomed us like part of the family right from the start, and the place felt like home the time I spent there. She really cared about our well-being, and I truly enjoyed my time there. The work was mostly physical, but we could always relax and go for a swim. Communication was always open, and everything could be discussed easily! Overall it was an amazing experience!

I had the most incredible time staying and working with the shelter! She is a kind and caring host that makes sure you feel comfortable, welcome, and at home. She is hardworking and organized and I thoroughly enjoyed all the tasks I did on the farm. She is generous and fun and I had the best time getting to know her and her friends. What a beautiful town and area, with even more beautiful animals and people! I would highly recommend this experience if you love being in nature and living a happy, simple life. The work it is hard at times but totally worth it !

I had a lovely time with the shelter. Everything was just as she described. She manages the tasks fairly, makes sure everyone feels comfortable, and ensures the work is balanced. Spending time with the shelter and her family was also a lot of fun. They're such kind people✨ 100% recommended!

I had an amazing time at the shelter's home! Everyone was really welcoming and I felt at home right away. Your tasks are mostly working in the fields or the veggie garden, do some cleaning and take turns cooking with what is in the fridge. One of the rooms is under the roof, so it can get warm in the summer, but the shelter always took care to find a solution. You are staying in the village, so you bike or drive the car to the fields, but everything else is close by. I highly recommend the swimming spot in walking distance! I got to ride one of the shelter's horses nearly everyday. Big thank you to everyone!

If you love animals and nature? This experience would be your best chance! the shelter, the host and her family were so heart-warming, friendly and nice. I felt at home away from home. Horses were gentle, as were other animals. I could be their friend easily. You can enjoy the great scenery and the fresh breeze of nature while working. Living in the French countryside and connecting with nature! 100% recommend

A great opportunity to spend time outdoors, around animals, and discover the French countryside! Daily tasks varied, including cleaning and filling up troughs, walking horses, housekeeping, helping at the veggie garden, clearing fields, and repairing fences. the shelter and Cyril were welcoming and cooked many great meals. They also had friends and family over regularly, which was a nice way to socialize and experience the local culture. If you want to explore more of the area, it would be best to have your own car or license as the bus doesn't run on Sundays.
