Veronica and Suilma were very nice! They provided me with a great stay and I really loved my experience once I met another volunteer and was able to hang out with them. I think some things were not planned as well as expected but I'm sure the next volunteer will have better communication with the host:)

We had a wonderful experience with Vero and Su! They welcomed us warmly and made us feel part of the family, cared about our physical and emotional well-being and made us discover the Peruvian culture. They offered us social work tailored to our needs and wants, while the amount of work was always sufficient to have some free time. Vero and Su have a lot of meaningful and impactful social projects and we encourage everyone to go and help along 🥰

Vero y Sulima han sido unas gurús increíbles. Me sentí en casa y me acogieron tanto que me sentía parte de la familia. Vero se involucra muchísimo en ayudar y tiene muchísima vocación, es una mujer sumamente fuerte y grande. Me sentí demasiado feliz con ellas. Sulima tiene una conexión impresionante con los animales y con la naturaleza, me inspira a ser como ella. Me hicieron sentir acompañada en mi primer viaje sola, de verdad no hubiera sido lo mismo sin ustedes. No pude haber llegado a un mejor lugar. GRACIAS infinitas. My experience was perfect! I did not know what to expect, but the host family was very welcoming and gladly showed me their way of life in Huancayo. Nearly everyday there was some new location to see or hike to trek through. I loved every day of my stay and I hope more people can get to experience Huancayo like I did!

¡En Vero y su familia encontré mi familia huancaína! Me voy con mucho amor y gratitud, volveré en septiembre para seguir con más actividades. La experiencia fue excelente, desde antes de viajar Vero fue muy atenta conmigo. El lugar donde se quedan los voluntarios es genial, súper cómodo, agua y comida calentita y amor y protección. El voluntariado fue muy productivo porque utilizamos las herramientas y conocimientos que tenía para hacer muchas actividades en la ong y apoyar a la comunidad. ¡Lo recomiendo altamente! Vero y familia, gracias eternas, siempre en mi corazón y nos vemos prontito.

Vero y su familia me hicieron sentirme parte de la familia, ayudándome siempre, explicándome su cultura, con paciencia para entender mi español (que todavía estoy aprendiendo), con comida muy rica, abrazos muy calientes y muy buenas conversaciones! Los niños de la ONG son muy adorables y amables! Todos los días me recibieron con súper abrazos!! Fue la mejor opción que tomé! Volví para Brasil con muchas historias, llena de cariños, muchos nuevos amigos y mucho conocimiento! Muy feliz!! ❤️

As a nurse, I had the opportunity to help in the Health Center, where i could learn and discover the cultural differences and their impact in peoples health. In the children's program with the Huancayo kids I was able to discuss with them about various topics like health, higiene, relationships... with their unique point of view as a feedback. If you feel creative and full of ideas its an ideal proyect to help with! Finally, I could spend some days with the Ashaninka native community, an experience which inspired me to continue with this kind of social work and coming back, thanks Vero!!!
