We had a fantastic time in Tsuru with Kenta and all of the other worldpackers involved in our time there. Classes were fun, straightforward and what you were expected to do was laid out for you. The hours were very nice to be able to enjoy your day doing things in the area and then come back for the evening classes. Kenya was super helpful in assisting us with transport to our next stay and the facilities provided including heating was great as it was starting to get cold. Very social atmosphere with the other s that were there and even a big thanks to Fumi for helping us on a social night❤

This was an amazing experience! The team was incredibly welcoming and the work was very manageable! The area is gorgeous and there are many things to do around Tsuru and the working hours are flexible enough so you always have time to explore and have fun before having to go to class ! And to be honest it doesn't even feel like work! I enjoyed the classes so much! Hope to be back in the future!!!

One of the best experiences of my life! The host is amazing — he truly immerses you in the culture with tea ceremonies, gives you great advice, and makes you feel so welcomed and cared for. The kids are super polite and absolutely adorable! The location near Mount Fuji is just breathtaking. 100% recommended. Love you all — I already miss you!

My girlfriend and I volunteered at the school for two weeks. It was such a brilliant experience and we were able to meet so many lovely people. A massive thank you to Fumi-san and Kaede for being so welcoming and friendly. The area is stunning and a great base if you love hiking and peace and quiet away from Tokyo. The work was very relaxed and we never worked more than 3 hours a day. There's opportunities to take on more volunteering work with chat spots and in a kindergarten which I'd definitely recommend doing 😊

We spent two weeks in Tsuru volunteering at the school. Tsuru is a small town an hour and a half away from Tokyo and close to mount Fuji, with loads of hikes and natural spaces nearby to visit. The work was easy, fun, laid-back and rewarding. We were always in the class with other volunteers and the focus was on conversation and engaging with the kids. The working hours were always from 4.30 pm with an extra hour or two in the morning if previously agreed. We met amazing people and had lots of fun during our time here. We definitely recommend it. A huge thank you to Fumi-san and Kaede!

The experience at the school was amazing. Kaede and Kenta are kind and wonderful, they really made me feel at home. The kids are also sweet and lovely and the Job it truly quince. I had a wonderful experience at Tsuru the school! The hosts are very kind, welcoming, and make you feel at home from day one. The work here is light and enjoyable — mainly helping with 1–2 English courses per day, and sometimes joining a friendly chat spot. It was a new and heartwarming experience for me! The atmosphere is relaxed, and there are also calligraphy lessons that travelers can join for free, which was a great cultural touch. During my stay, I met amazing friends from all over the world. I definitely recommend this place to anyone!

My experience at the school was AMAZING. Kenta, Natsuki, Fumi-San and Kaede are really wonderful people, they are welcoming and always there if you need help. I got to make a lot of friends too. The job is light and pretty fun! I even ended up doing some extra shifts just for personal enjoyment. Tsuru is a small town but Yamanashi offers a lot of nice sights, and from the school you can get to both Mt. Fuji and Tokyo in less than 3 hours. Having free weekends allows you to go on short trips easily. I really really enjoyed every aspect of this experience and I am looking forward to come back♡

Very unique opportunity to engage with a very local community and contribute to their education. I enjoyed the company of other international travellers, the vibe is very open and welcoming :) The teaching experience was very fun, we work with all ages so things never get stale. Of course I have to mention to incredible staff that runs the place, they are all so very nice and caring and genuinely care about education.
