The overall experience was really good, besides one aspect: the host. The boat crew was absolutely phenomenal and I truly have grown to consider them my own family!! The tasks are not clear at all, and neither are the hours. Leo is honestly a horrible person, who pretends to be a cool guy for guests. Nothing was EVER explained to me by him, and considering I was alone for most of my time there, I had to figure out A LOT by myself. The job itself is not hard, but it's definitely not suited for introverts, as you have to socialise all day long, and every day it's a whole new group of people.

This is experience was fun. You get to work closely with Vietnamese locals and meet many travelers. This is a high energy job as your main duty is to interact with guests and ensure that they are having a good time. Be prepared to be in a party atmosphere every night. The accommodation was wonderful and the team was so lovely to work with.

Volunteering on the boat was a lot of fun and a lot of partying. Tasks were not too clear but were fun and very easy, including going on tours with guests and socialising with guests. Food was always good and the staff very kind and helpful. Would recommend doing this volunteer with a friend or two.

I had an amazing time volunteering at Halong the boat. Really fun experience, work is very easy. Shift hours are a bit confusing, could be slightly better communicated. Overall would recommend. Team and staff are lovely and very helpful, there is no wifi on the ship only have small chances throughout the night to connect to a workers hotspot in which are usually working hours.
