The hostel was an experience of ups and downs. The schedule is bit confusing. They have two hostels and they decide in which one you will work (if you applied as a cleaner). Working at the hostel is fine, but working at Casa d' Alagoa they make you clean apartments that are not part of hostel, this is uncool. Nuno, the owner, is very open to conversation and very reasonable, so you can negotiate directly with him about your issues (or Alexandra). Overall the structure, the things provided and the interaction with guests and other volunteers can give you a good experience. Good location.
