Are you good with your hands and enjoy fixing things? We’re looking for a practical and reliable Maintenance Assistant to help us keep our hostel in great condition!

You’ll work 5 hours a day assisting with general repairs and maintenance tasks. This includes basic painting, plumbing, electricity, and small fixes around the property. Your work will make sure that everything runs smoothly and that our guests have a comfortable, safe stay.

We are looking for a skilled and hands-on Maintenance Assistant to help maintain our hostel’s facilities. Your role will involve small repairs, basic maintenance, and ensuring that everything stays in good working order for our guests. You'll be an essential part of keeping our hostel safe, welcoming, and comfortable!

Atividades & Turnos

Activities :

-Perform small repairs around the hostel (doors, windows, furniture, etc.)
-Help with basic painting and touch-ups where needed
-Assist with minor plumbing tasks (fixing leaks, unclogging drains, replacing faucets)
-Support basic electrical maintenance (changing light bulbs, checking sockets, minor fixes)
-Keep maintenance tools organized and ready to use
-Identify maintenance issues and report bigger problems to management
-Assist in setting up or repairing furniture, appliances, or other facilities
-Help maintain outdoor spaces if needed (small gardening or patio repairs)

Requirements:

-Basic knowledge of painting, plumbing, and electricity
-Ability to use basic tools safely and responsibly
-Good problem-solving skills
-Responsible, proactive, and able to work independently
-Positive attitude and team spirit

Regras

Please read the following rules very carefully, and confirm you have fully understood all of them.

1. Arrive on time for your scheduled shift
If you are late twice, you will have to work on your day off
2. Smoking, drinking and drugs is not allowed during activities
DRUGS = IMMEDIATE TERMINATION
3. DO NOT enter guest rooms
4. Guests are NOT allowed in the volunteers' room.
You will be required to pay the price for one night in a private room
5. DO NOT bring external guests to the hostel. If you want to bring someone, you must ask permission from the manager
6. Report any found and unclaimed items to Lost-and-Found (front desk)
7. You commited yourselfto respectthe cleaning calendar to keep your space clean. The room, bathroom and hostel areas must be tidy
8. Please maintain a tidy appearance and good personal hygiene, you are representing Nomads. We encourage everyone to come to work feeling fresh and presentable
9. Respect the hostels' property, supplies and equipment
10. Always assist guests, stay positive and SMILE

IMPORTANT

* Leaving the hostel earlier than the agreed upon date means you will forfeit your deposit.
* Meals - You will lose $5 USD for every meal you do not collect or if you take someone else's food
* T-shirts - You must pay $20usd in case of loss or damage
Deposit refund will be done in cash regardless of the payment type
You will be given 2 t-shits and one badge, both of these items must be returned at the end of your stay, otherwise there will be no refund.

We request $50 usd security Deposit which you will get back at the end of your voluntering time if everything is ok. if you leave before the time we agree you lost your deposit .
