This campsite was my first experience with Workaway and a great start to my trip. From day one, David was very helpful and caring. Every now and then we ate together and even went to Braga once to go bowling. The work was simple and the atmosphere was very relaxed. I slept in an old camper caravan for the 10 days I was here. It was a bit cramped (especially since I'm very tall), but also very cozy and adequate. You work mostly with David and his two brothers, who are all very cool. In your free time, the area is perfect for hiking and relaxing. A big thank you to David for the great time!!

La experiencia en el camping fue muy buena. El hecho de estar al lado del río en el medio del bosque es maravilloso y transmite una paz hermosa. La idea de venir era conectar con la naturaleza y estar tranquilo y no podría haber sido mejor. Las tareas son fáciles, se respetan perfecto los horarios y se puede trabajar súper chill. No quiero dejar pasar la oportunidad para agradecer y reconocer a David (el manager del camping), que fue super flexible y comprensivo con todos los voluntarios

A experiência no camping foi mágica. Tivemos a oportunidade de estar em uma habitação muito boa, um trailer confortável e com o que era suficiente. O David e a família dele são uns amores e ele é um exemplo de gerencia, divide muito bem as tarefas e não deixa ninguém sobrecarregado. Tive a oportunidade de me conectar com a natureza, tomar banho de rio e fazer trilhas. Tivemos sorte de pegar pouquíssima chuva e dias lindos. O trabalho é tranquilo e flexível! É sem dúvida um dos melhores voluntariados que já fiz. Recomendo muito!

Me gustó! El voluntariado estaba bien organizado, con tareas claras para hacer cada uno de los voluntarios. Es ideal si quieres escaparte un rato a la naturaleza porque el camping está en una zona de río preciosa 🩵 además David es muy comunicativo y siempre que necesité algo, me ayudó. Conocí a gente sobretodo de brasil/argentina muy bonita, gracias por la experiencia.

David was a fantastic host. It was really important to him that we were doing well, had everything we needed, and felt comfortable. We had a great time! Our morning shift involved cleaning toilets and sometimes helping at the bar. We had plenty of free time which was great for relaxing and exploring. The area is stunning, but having a car helps. The nearest town is walkable, but for activities, driving is a plus. You'll spend a lot of time alone, so we recommend bringing a friend. The team and David's family is super friendly. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it!

I was at the campsite with my friend, Zoe, we were there for 10 days and it was a wonderful experience. our shift was in the morning and we had to help with the cleaning, very simple and above all we had the afternoon free. we were able to live in contact with nature and explore the places around. we managed to communicate in Italian, Portuguese and English, it was very fun and we told each other about our cultures, the similar and the different things. the campsite is beautiful and David and his family are fantastic people, thanks again :)

I enjoyed my stay at the camping a lot:) It is the perfect experience for you if you love nature and appreciate a bunch of free time to wander around and do your own things. The work is not too difficult and the environment very relaxed and friendly. The family were all extremely nice to me, especially David was great and often asking if I have everything. The only thing to keep in mind is the language barrier, we were only two volunteers and the family speaks mostly only Portuguese, even though they do try hard to find ways to communicate:) thanks for the experience!♥️

During my entire volunteering stay, I have felt really well. I highlight its extraordinary location and the good relationship with David, his family and other camping collaborators. For sure, a good place to learn Portuguese and visit Peneda-Gerés National Park.

We had an excellent time with David and his family, they are all very kind people and made us feel so welcome for our stay. Work was simple and not demanding and there was lots of free time and days off! The scenery is absolutely beautiful and the waterfalls great for swimming, really good if you want to be in nature! Would love to come back here one day! Thank you David

Fuimos con una amiga y era nuestra primera experiencia con Worldpackers y sin duda la mejor para empezar, fue inolvidable. El lugar es precioso, en medio de la natura. David y su familia siempre están pendientes y hemos aprendido mucho de ellos. El horario es muy bueno, ya que después se puede aprovechar para visitar y hacer actividades. El pueblo está a 15-20 minutos andando.
