This has been a great experience, I recommend it to any English speaker who'd like to share their knowledge with locals, as most students are really motivated by their desire to learn the lingo. Communication is a great asset from the host and that's very important for you as a volunteer, so thank you Karen and team for being so professional and always so attentive. Oh and one of the best things is that you will be able to see the gorgeous Cotopaxi volcano from the roof top of the building. Ecuador is a lucky country as it has gorgeous mountains all around. The hosts and teachers at the school are very kind, attentive and respectful people, just like good Ecuadorians. I loved participating in extracurricular activities with the students, cooking together for the Thanksgiving event and playing funny games with kids. I had the opportunity to serve as a jury at a graduation ceremony, which I felt honored to do. They valued my knowledge and my criteria as an evaluator. Thank you for everything!

My stay at the school Cotopaxi was amazing. The hours are very reasonable (only 6h/day, 3 days/week) and you get your own bedroom & bathroom. The host Karen was incredibly helpful, always there for us (even went to the hospital with me) and super understanding of our needs & preferences. I really recommend this experience, especially if you're travelling with a buddy, as there were no other volunteers there. Overall, I loved it! Thank you so much!

Awesome experience! I worked 10-1 & 3-6 three days per week having conversations with students in ages ranging from 8 to 20. They give you prompts you can follow or you can just have natural conversations with the students about whatever comes to mind. Technically no Spanish is required, although it does make it a lot easier when a student doesn't know how to say something if you can translate it for them. Clean and spacious private accommodation with a basic kitchen that has all the necessities. You will have a good amount of down time, perfect for exploring the local area and/or remote work

Loved the experience. There were many different kinds of students with diverse personalities, goals, and skills. I enjoyed conversing with them all. Volunteering with them was worth it! They owe much of their skills to the amazing staff at Inglés Rápido, whom you will also enjoy getting to know :) Thanks to the people I met through the school I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Latacunga! It's an underrated city for backpackers, for sure.

I had an amazing time here at the institute. :) The staff is friendly and welcoming and the school is in the center of Latacunga. The rooms are amazing and comforting and the kitchen is clean. Thank you for everything :)

I had a great time at the language centre, the city is nice to walk around and there are great hikes in the area. My friend and I had our own rooms on the top floor of the centre and had a full kitchen to cook in. We worked 3 hours in the morning and 3 in the afternoon. The majority of the work is having one on one conversations with students to help improve their English.

The team at Inglés Rápido are so friendly and welcoming, and it was a fun experience to speak with students of all ages and abilities. The schedule is well organised and expectations are set when you apply to the position and reiterated upon arrival. The accommodation is within the school, centrally located in Latacunga and close to everything you need. We decided to leave early due to the electricity outages in the city, and the team was very understanding.
