I had the most amazing time volunteering here. Ed and Alex were warm, welcoming, and attentive, always ensuring I was comfortable. Their knowledge of regenerative farming, combined with clear communication, meant I learned so much. I was eased into tasks at a steady pace, allowing me to learn thoroughly, and the work was incredibly rewarding. Tasks were well-structured and varied, with work hours always respected. The van was cozy and well-equipped, lunches were delicious, and the surroundings were beautiful. Having a bike to explore was a fantastic bonus. Thank you, Ed and Alex!!!!

I really enjoyed my time at the project! I felt very welcomed by Alex and Ed and they tried everything to make feel comfortable. It was also my first time working on a farm and Ed was really patient with explaining everything to me. I stayed during winter, so it's a bit cold in the caravan, but it was fine once I got used it. They also have only one volunteer during winter, so I was mostly working by myself. Mostly I enjoyed the conversations I had with Ed and Alex, since both of have traveled a lot and were able to give me really good advice and new perspectives.

Ed and Alex were absolutely amazing hosts! They welcomed us with open arms and constantly made sure we were comfortable. Ed and Alex are extremely passionate and well educated about farming, permaculture and environmental awareness. We learned so much during our time with them and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. We bonded well with the whole family and we got to know about the history and inner workings of the community. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone who wants to deeper their understanding about farming and the environment. Thank you so much Ed and Alex!

Ha sido una experiencia increíble! La primera que he tenido y volvería a repetir. Hemos aprendido sobre permacultura y lo que es realmente la vida trabajando en el huerto, haciendo tareas diversas para poder aprender del proceso. Se han esforzado mucho en adaptarse a las dificultades de cocinar sin gluten, a veces una tarea complicada :) Gracias por todo Edward y Alex, fueron unos días muy bonitos 🤍✨

Ed and Alex are great hosts and you'll enjoy your time with them! They're super knowledgable and know what they're doing. Expectations are clear and you won't be asked to do more than you can handle. The caravan is nice too! Definitely would recommend.

Mi experiencia con Alex y Ed fue maravillosa e inolvidable. Siempre atentos a nuestras necesidades e intentando que estemos cómodas, ofreciéndose a llevarnos a Bellac o al supermercado cuando queríamos ir. Además, aprendimos un montón de cosas y siempre nos enseñaban cosas nuevas. Las tareas eran muy variadas, haciendo que el trabajo no sea repetitivo ni cansador. Me encantaría volver algún día y pasar por esta experiencia nuevamente.

My experience with Edward and Alex was outstanding. The tasks that needed to be completed were varied, which is a huge plus. Edward is very passionate about what he does and always taught us something new every day! During lunchtime, we would share funny anecdotes about our past and talk for hours. It's important to highlight the good communication we had with them as well as their constant concern for our well-being. I can't recommend this more for all nature lovers out there!

Ed and Alex were amazing hosts, very welcoming, fun and considerate of our needs!! We loved working at a farm, the tasks are varied, so it never gets boring and Ed is always ready to teach you whatever you want to know about farming, we learnt sooo much for the little time we were there. The location is very peaceful, in a cute little village not so far from the town of Bellac, where you have cafés, cinema, supermarkets (we got rides from Ed/Alex when we asked)! You would live in a cool caravan in their garden, next to their natural swimming pool !!! Thank you Ed & Alex for everything <33

Ed and Alex are kind and generous people with adorable children. The family welcomed me into their home and took very good care of me during my stay. They are very passionate people with a goal to better the world, which is very admirable. They have a lot of knowledge and life experience to share, and I learned a lot from them about market farming, permaculture, and all that it takes to start up and run the farm as a business. If you are interested in farming, and are motivated and dedicated, this will be an excellent experience for you that I recommend highly.

Ed y Alex, al igual que sus dos hijas, siempre se preocuparon de saber si tenía todo lo necesario y me encontraba a gusto; y las conversaciones con ellos siempre eran muy interesantes y reveladoras. Aprendí sobre el cultivo (lo que son las propias técnicas y estructuras), pero sobre todo aprendí sobre impacto ambiental. Además, para mí, ha sido una experiencia que me ha permitido conocerme mejor y saber desenvolverme sola. En cuanto al trabajo, como las horas o las tareas, todo fue lo acordado. Y, aunque tuvimos un par de baches, los supimos solucionar fácil y satisfactoriamente.
