This was an amazing experience. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed into this family. They are all so friendly and eager to practise speaking English. The host was very organised and discussed the roster with us from the beginning. My favourite parts were talking, swimming and cooking with the children. We plan on going back again as it was so rewarding being part of such a big family. They took as places and included us in everything. The Grandparents were so welcoming and using translator I had some wonderful conversations with them. Highly recommend this stay.

Not recommended – Poor conditions for volunteers and animals 1. The animals were in bad shape— caged kittens were fed old porridge left out for days and meowed desperately, likely from hunger, while dogs looked severely undernourished. 2. Poor sleeping conditions. We slept on hard wooden beds in urine-smelling rooms. Children often banged on our doors while we rested, and there were no clear boundaries. 3. Various materials including plastic burned during a campfire, which raised serious health and environment concerns. 4. The host was overly controlling and treated volunteers like children.
