My time spent living at the farm provided me with a fully immersive experience living with a family in Costa Rica. If you are looking for an opportunity to gain an intimate understanding of the culture and community in this area, this is the perfect location for you. Although the hosts do not speak English, they are patient and accommodating, making this a good place for an intermediate Spanish speaker to make steps towards fluency. For people interested in rainforest ecology, this location has an abundance of local animals and plants that are common to see in their natural environment.

I had a wonderful two weeks at the farm! We all had such a laugh together, I learned lots, and ate amazing food! Thank you Eric & Eli for being such great hosts! I would definitely recommend if you want to be immersed in nature in a remote setting.

My stay at the farm was incredible! Eliza and Erick are the most kind and fun people! We were warmly included in many activities with their family, the local community, and other volunteer organizations nearby. Eliza and Erick are very knowledgeable and experienced, and are eager to share their knowledge of the local plants and animals, construction, gardening/farming, Costa Rican cooking, and crafts. The surrounding area is beautiful, the beach is walking distance, and there are lots of toucans and monkeys to spot! They speak Spanish only and are very willing to help those learning!

The farm is a magical place, we came for only two weeks and we had the time of our lives. The project is beautiful and they have so many plans to expand it and create a lasting impact in their community. We learned lots about the local biodiversity, animal care, seeding corn, cooking, speaking Spanish, and life lessons from Eliza and Erick. They took such good care of us - the accommodations and food were amazing, the work gratifying and full of learning, and they took us out and about lots to get to know the area and people. We felt a part of the community and will be coming back!

El lugar es muy lindo, está muy cerca de la playa y la comida es muy rica, Eli es muy atenta y linda, disfruté mucho de cuidar a los pollitos y darles de comer

Me la pasé muy bien en la casa, Eli y Erick fueron bastante amables y compartimos mucho sobre la historia de nuestros países. Darle de comer a los pollitos fue mi actividad favorita

La experiencia ha sido muy enriquecedora. Tanto Eli como Erick son unos anfitriones excelentes. Se preocupan por los voluntarios y comparten tiempo y actividades fuera del horario de trabajo. La casa está en una zona cuya naturaleza te deja impresionada, pudiendo ver multitud de animales y plantas. La comida es inmejorable, la echaré mucho de menos. Muy recomendado para gente que quiere conectar consigo misma y con gente local. ¡Espero volver pronto!

I had an amazing time here. Me and my friend went together and we lost power our first night and had a total misunderstanding with the host where we thought there was no electricity at all. But once that was resolved it was really an amazing experience. It would have been even better if I had known more Spanish so definitely practice that before coming. The hosts were so nice and helped us set up excursions and rides to and from the airport. Such amazing people and duh a great experience, definitely plan on coming back within a year (after practicing Spanish).

Mi experiencia en la casa fue muy enriquecedora. Conviví con las actividades diarias de los habitantes del campo de esta zona de Costa Rica. Conocí de sus ostumbres y su gastronomía. Eliza es una persona encantadora que siempre está al pendiente de cualquier cosa que necesites. Fue mi primer voluntariado y estuvo genial.
