I enjoyed my stay at the hostel, the staffs are friendly, the tasks are easy and I learned a lot. They are very flexible with changes on my travel plans, was able to come earlier and also extended my stay with no worries. The accommodation is basic with light breakfast but what could you asked more apart from the experience and the happy memories.

My time at the hostel was awesome! I really enjoyed it and had lots of fun with the other volunteers. The host was so warm and welcoming! The location is really good and the hostel patio was definitely one of my favorite places to hangout. The breakfast is really small, just oats and cereal for the volunteers and coffee, but it was good! The only con to the boathouse is the lack of training and a presence from management sometimes. But Dania was awesome! I think that this is a wonderful place to start volunteering and getting a feel for the ropes of travel.

Mi experiencia fue buena. Las tareas de recepción son muy sencillas y se respetan mucho los turnos. La ubicación es muy buena, con solo caminar 3 minutos hay un supermercado y se puede tomar el bus para ir a la playa. Francisco y sobretodo Meche me recibieron y me hicieron sentir cómoda desde el primer momento. Unas semanas después, hubo un cambio en la administración que hizo que la energia positiva del hostal desapareciera por completo. Por ejemplo, cambiaron a un desayuno muy muy escaso. Omitiendo este cambio, dejo 5 estrellas, ya que el resto del equipo es excepcional. Gracias!

Desde que llegue me sentí bien recibida e incluso me recibieron un día antes a lo acordado y pude descansar tranquilamente, las tareas son muy sencillas como atender en recepción y convivir con los huéspedes. La gente que maneja el hostel siempre está al pendiente ante cualquier duda o inconveniente. Fran siempre está atento, es muy flexible y siempre trata de incluirte en salidas y cualquier reunión que te hacen disfrutar de la mejor manera de Cancún. La ubicación es excelente, ya que está en el mismo centro y cerca de la playas. Me llevo una bonita experiencia de TBH y gracias por todo!

Francisco and the Boathouse made me feel so welcome from my arrival. I felt at home and very comfortable with the team and fully supported. The Boathouse is a great hostel and in a great location. What really made this experience special was the staff and team spirit. I would highly recommend the Boathouse as a great volunteering opportunity, and will truly miss you all once I depart in 2 days, but feel I have gained a family for life and was a great opportunity to start my volunteering journey.

It was my first volunteering experience here and I had a great time with everyone. I got to improve my Spanish and the other volunteers as well as the hosts made me feel welcome really fast!
