I had an incredible time in Ubatuba - Roger and Laura were not only my hosts, they also became friends. They invited me to join their life in every part, we had inspiring talks, bike rides and beach days together and i really feel like we built a connection. My “tasks” were to practice English with Laura and to model for Roger's photography! Didn't feel like work though as this is definitely not a typical project! The rune reading was also one of the most interesting emotional experiences I've made and I encourage everyone to get out of their comfort zone and give it a chance! Thank you!😊🫶

Meeting Roger and going hiking into the river truly was a life changing experience. He will make you comfortable and heard, supported and also loves a good laugh! He offered me the rune reading experience, which deeply helped me figuring out a lot of issues i was going through at that very moment. He has been reading runes for more than 10 years, thus is very fluid and intuitive while doing it, which will make you comfortable being genuine and connect to yourself. Climbing the itamambuca river was a beautiful activity for it really connected our bodies to their roots and ancestral origins.

Volvería a voluntariar con ellos 100% 😊🤗 Roger y Laura son anfitriones increíblemente amables y acogedores. Me recibieron en su la casa con una sonrisa y con mucho apoyo ya que fue mi primer viaje fuera de mi pais. La comunicación fue excelente antes y durante mi estancia, y siempre dispuestos a ayudarme con cualquier pregunta. Me gusto que con Roger compartimos la pasion por content creation, teaching y el espiritu Couchsurfing (like-minded person!). Los masajes y los paseos a la playa que hicimos juntos fueron inolvidables (los lugares más hermosos de Ubatuba) Gracias, los quiero!♥️♥️♥️

I had an amazing time with Roger and Laura! They are experienced volunteers themselves, knowing how to make your stay truly special. I felt at home right away and could easily be myself with them. We shared hours-long conversations losing track of time and I cannot even describe the beauty of nature I got to see in Ubatuba. Roger being an amazing photographer, gave me an absolute confidence boost too with the shots he took during our hikes. Of course, there is work too. It isn't hard and I was never left alone. I am so grateful for this amazing time with these two beautiful caring souls! 🌸

We're so happy that you got to be our model, girl! And as you said it yourself, although you were concerned at first because of your insecurities, you were surprised and impressed when you saw the shots. You realized that your only job was to be and enjoy yourself, without even thinking about the camera. In the end, you could see yourself from a completely different perspective! In other words, we managed to reveal your beauty and it was a complete self-confidence boost as you so well put it!

It was a pleasure to share these few days with Laura and Roger. They were absolute sweethearts and they absolutely understand the volunteering experience. Furthermore Roger took of his time to show me some really nice spots of Ubatuba. They also shared with me their experience of massage and runes reading which I really appreciated. The work is not to hard and the girls I was working with really nice :) Thanks a lot for this great volunteering experience!

Esta fue mi segunda vez como voluntaria en este hotel con Laura y Roger, la hermosa pareja que decidió crear esta experiencia única. Esta vez fui modelo en los videos y lo que me impresionó fue su proceso creativo y artístico, en el que pude participar. También me encantaron los senderos en la selva para llegar a hermosas cascadas y cuevas. El cariño y amor de estos dos es palpable y se puede sentir en su casa, en la comida que preparan, en sus palabras, en sus caricias durante el masaje. ¡Una experiencia mucho más completa, apasionante y innovadora de lo que se suele ver en Worldpackers!

Working as a volunteer at the hotel has been such a pleasure. The whole team was so welcoming! The work was not difficult at all and the accomodations were awesome. Laura and Roger were so kind to me, they made me feel like I was at my own home and we've shared some nice moments and life stories. I felt really connect to the people and the place.
