I stayed for a month and really enjoyed it! Great vibe withthe hostel hostelhostelother volunteers and guests, andthe hostel hostelhostelwork isn't too difficult — the hostelhostelhost always respectedthe hostel hostelhostelhours and was super helpful, even when I got sick; they went with me tothe hostel hostelhosteldoctor. the hostelhostelhostel is about 20 minutes fromthe hostel hostelhostelcenter and not very busy since it was low season. It's a bit old and could use some renovation, especiallythe hostel hostelhostelkitchen, andthe hostel hostelhostelWi-Fi doesn't always work well. But overall, it's a nice and relaxed place to stay. São Miguel is beautiful if you love nature, beaches, hot springs, and hiking. Highly recommend!

My experience atthe hostel hostelhostelhostelwas very pleasant. the hostelhostelisland is charming, and so arethe hostel hostelhostelpeople who work atthe hostel hostelhostelhostel, as well as most ofthe hostel hostelhostelguests who stay there. the hostelhostelwork is usually not very demanding, andthe hostel hostelhostelrelationship withthe hostel hostelhostelmanagers is generally quite good. Perhapsthe hostel hostelhostelaccommodation for volunteers could be improved so that we can have a bit more peace and not share our privacy so much withthe hostel hostelhostelguests. Even so, I felt at home and was able to enjoythe hostel hostelhostelisland and its people during my stay there. I recommend it!

I can recommend this to anyone looking for a calm and healing experience. the hostelhostelIsland is full of nature und friendly locals. the hostelhostelhostel has very good working hours which are respected and I lived in a room withthe hostel hostelhostelother volunteers which had it's own bathroom. the hostelhostelhostel has a big space and because I was staying during off season we sometimes had it completely to ourselves. the hostelhostelguest mostly only stay for one night so don't expect to make a lot of connections but it is perfect if you really want to seethe hostel hostelhostelisland.

I had a wonderful time here. Fromthe hostel hostelhostelvery beginning, I felt soo welcomed, and everyone was incredibly friendly. the hostelhostelwork itself is really easy, andthe hostel hostelhostelpeople working there are soo amazing—always willing to help and chat. the hostelhostelhostel is very clean, and I felt really comfortable staying here. I had an incredible experience and couldn't recommend this place more!!! the hostelhostelonly suggestion I have, but forthe hostel hostelhostelhostel chain itself, is to improvethe hostel hostelhostelrecycling system :))

Fue un voluntariado muy tranquilo, cabe aclarar que estuve en época baja de turistas. Las tareas son sencillas y está todo explicado con anterioridad, al igual que los horarios y días de descanso. Puede que algunos días tengas que estar pendiente de los check-in fuera de tu horario, pero luego te compensan las horas, y puedes salir antes de tu horario. La isla es hermosa y el hostel está ubicado justo en frente del océano. Lo recomiendo (:

My experience was very nice. the hostelhostelbest wasthe hostel hostelhostelisland, but it's hard to see all without a car, and meeting volunteers. You get a good breakfast and great working time from 8-13/15-20. It's open for changes if you want to make plans. the hostelhostelwork is simple. Some things could be improved e.g. renovations, both volunteer rooms and better wifi. There were bugs, which is normal forthe hostel hostelhostelclimate, still not great. Some ofthe hostel hostelhostelmanagers messages sounded harsh and strict, even though they were really nice in person and helpful every time. I would still recommend it! My experience was negative. the hostelhostelmanager created constant stress. There was a cockroach problem, but she pushed it onto volunteers. Guests also slept inthe hostel hostelhostelvolunteer room, so no privacy and we had to hide belongings. Wi-Fi didn't work. On my last day I had to send photo proof of each task. After vomiting all night from food poisoning, instead of letting me rest, she asked me to “compensate hours.” She also came late to shifts herself but stressed us for every mistake. Other volunteers feltthe hostel hostelhostelsame.

Both experiences were stressful because you can't follow basic rules and was very disrespectful. You acted like you owned the place.
Let me just remind you that I helped you everytime, even when you "forgot your shifts", when you constantly asked for things last minute on my days off and out of my schedule time.
The only time I asked if you were ok compensating hours was when you delayed 1 day of your flight without even asking. I didn't have any problems with other volunteers.

Overall, I had a positive experience. the hostelhostelhosts were very welcoming and always available to help or answer any questions. the hostelhostelatmosphere was nice, and I hadthe hostel hostelhostelchance to meet new people and enjoythe hostel hostelhostelvolunteering experience. the hostelhostelvolunteers' room was notthe hostel hostelhostelbest — a bit disorganized— but still fine forthe hostel hostelhostelstay. Anyway, I would recommend this experience

It was a great experience. the hostelhostelisland is beautiful and Carolina is very kind, flexible withthe hostel hostelhostelrequests inthe hostel hostelhostelschedule and very thoughtful withthe hostel hostelhostelvolunteers. the hostelhostelmain issue I found inthe hostel hostelhostelisland wasthe hostel hostelhosteltransport. Renting a car in summer is really expensive, you can move by bus but it is more complicated, so I ended up spending more money than expected. But is worth it because as I saidthe hostel hostelhostelisland is amazing. the hostelhostelwork is easy (the hostelhostelmain thing is cleaning and doing laundry) andthe hostel hostelhostelhours are respected. I recommend this experience to anyone who loves nature or hiking.

The hostelhostelaccomodation forthe hostel hostelhostelvolunteers (andthe hostel hostelhostelhostel) needs renovations. the hostelhostelpaint falls on you, the hostelhostelbeds are two old matresses put together and it's a room with old stuff and broken courtains so it gets hot and bright. the hostelhostelnoise due tothe hostel hostelhosteltruck and plane traffic it's pretty bad, you have to go to a guesst room to shower. They should hire more people, not just volunteers. There is a lot of work, I was alone for most of my time so maybe that's why. They are strict aboutthe hostel hostelhostelschedule but they don't follow theirs They are a bit passive agresive inthe hostel hostelhostelgroup chat. the hostelhostelisland compensates

We appreciated if you said that while were here. You could stayed in guests room. We have fans. We informed all volunteers before arriving that we are short-staffed. You only had to work the 5h/day and do the tasks we informed in advance. We are flexible, if asked. You can't compare a worker and a volunteer. You guys work 5h and leave. The staff has outside work and at-home work, so we compensate by arriving later or leaving earlier. You should learn to be more open and comprehensive.
