It was my first volunteering experience & I had a wonderful time at the hostel :) The tasks were simple. In the morning prepare breakfast & clean. In the afternoon help guests with check-ins. When there were no guests we could relax on the terrace, which is the best spot in the hostel. The hostel is small, clean & had a family-like vibe. However, we felt uncomfortable with a camera on the terrace & the host messaging us after 11 pm to be quiet. Even after midnight, we were told to go to bed, which felt a bit overbearing. Despite this I had a positive experience & can recommend! (plus ur own room)

Thank you for your review Aileen, the Cameras in the terrace are for security reasons, and one of the main tasks of our volunteers hosts, is to keep the order in the hostel, and make sure that there is no noise, and respect the other guests and the neighbours, and the culture, we cannot accept the noise in our hostel in the night, the locals neighbours were complaining, we hope that you could understand the situation, it’s one of the rules of our Surf house.

My time at the hostel was absolutely incredible! I can't recommend this place enough. From the moment I arrived and throughout my entire stay, I felt so welcome—it truly felt like I've gained a family in Morocco. Rahma and Xabi are both kind, generous, and flexible, and the guests were super friendly as well. The house itself is beautiful and comfortable, and the beach is only a 20-minute walk away. You can rent surfboards right on the beach, but there are plenty of great surf spots nearby too. I'm so grateful for this experience and I truly hope to return soon!❤️

My stay at the hostel was a great great great experience If you're searching for a family, cosy and chill place, it is perfect. The tasks are easy, the rest of the time of your shift you can spend time doing yoga, reading, writing, drawing :)) The must is the private room on the terrace, you'll be only 2 volunteers sharing it and you'll have your own bathroom. the hostel is not a place where you'll have parties every weekend, instead you'll spend time playing cards with the guests and watching the sunset from the rooftop.

My stay at the hostel was amazing! Rahma and Xabi are so nice and I felt very welcome there. The tasks that need to be done by volunteers are very straightforward and easy, and you will end up spending a lot of time just talking to guests and hanging out at the hostel.

It was my first experience as a volunteer, and it was simply amazing! Rahma and xabier made me feel comfortable from the beginning. I had the chance to meet great people from different nationalities. In addition to the moments spent helping at the hostel, I was able to enjoy discovering the surroundings, which made the experience more memorable. My time at the hostel was very enjoyable, I was made to feel welcome and a valued part of the team. The tasks are straightforward and generally easy to complete, everything was clearly explained to me at the beginning of my stay and expectations were made clear to me prior to my stay and during my time at the hostel. The house is in a great location in a quiet part of Tamraght but only a short walk into the main shopping and eating streets. Perfect for watching the sunset from the roof terrace and walking up the hills behind the hostel for an even better view.

My time at the hostel was really great. Rahma and Xabi are super nice people. The work was absolutely manageable and we had enough free time to explore the surroundings and go surfing and skating. I would recommend this place to everyone but especially to people who want to spend time at a more relaxed and quiet place.

Had an amazing time in the hostel. Xabi and Rahma (hosts) are super nice and really flexible. They lend me a board so I could surf and a wetsuit. Work wasn't hard. People in town are super nice, met some locals as well. Would 100% recommend it.

I had a great time at the hostel! The location in Tamraght is very nice, it's a comfortable hostel about twenty minutes walk from the beach. The work was not very difficult but could be a little stressful when there was a lot going on but was overall doable. Sometimes it was a little difficult with communication because schedules and tasks weren't always given in advance and I had to ask/ get them last minute. Eventually they gave us the schedules at the beginning of the week so that was helpful. Overall it was enjoyable and I had a great time meeting and chatting with guests!

Rahma and Xabi are very welcoming people, I had a lot of fun working here! Most things are communicated clearly in the beginning and they are flexible with the times as well. In general, everything was super manageable and on quiet days you have a lot of free time. Unfortunately, during my 3 weeks in August I was not able to join any surf/yoga lessons or trips, because it was not really offered in low season. I wish I had known this before, but you can keep busy quite well otherwise, especially when there are other volunteers around. Overall, I would highly recommend this experience! :)
