The tasks are manageable and the working hours are respected. The team is welcoming and you get to have a lot of fun conversations with staff/guests! Unfortunately, I had to end my stay early, because some details didn't work for me: There's mandatory dinners (+going out after) with the guests every Wed. and Fri. It's fun but I only got that info on my first day there. The volunteer room is tiny with only a small window to the corridor, a wobbly bed and what seems like moldy spots on the walls. Hopefully, some changes will be made in this regard bc it would've been a great stay otherwise!

Horrible experience. The host doesn't respect the working hours - I worked more than it was said on the page and I only had one day off instead of two. The work is very tiring, the host is mean and not welcoming. The shifts are given only a day before the next week so you can't plan anything. The host put me in a really small room with two more people and with no windows (that was so unhealthy) and with a wobbly bed that was "secured" with a rope plus it had no safety rails. Every wednesday and friday you had to go to a bar with the guests and spend your own money for travel and drinks.

Me he divertido y disfrutado mucho, la gente con la que he compartido el voluntariado ha sido increíble. Es un lugar en el que se conoce a muchas personas y hay muchas actividades como por ejemplo las cenas para socializar y para pasarlo bien! además es el sitio ideal para conocer londres, está muy bien comunicado y los horarios de la semana los dan con antelación asi que puedes planear todo con tranquilidad! muy buena experiencia!

Considero que este es un lugar excelente con gran potencial. Sin embargo, identifiqué algunas áreas de mejora. Lamentablemente, no pude establecer una conexión efectiva con el gerente, quien considero es una persona excepcional. Para potenciar al equipo, sugiero fomentar un diálogo más abierto y receptivo. Aunque el idioma puede ser una barrera, existen alternativas de comunicación que pueden facilitar la interacción efectiva y el entendimiento mutuo.

Volunteering at the hostel was a very good experience! The hostel has a great location, making it easy to explore different parts of London. The vibe is very welcoming, creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. I had an amazing relationship with both the team and the guests, meeting people from all over the world. The work was well-organized, allowing for a good balance between responsibilities and free time to explore the city. I highly recommend this experience!

It was a great experience! The hostel was really cool and I made friends with both the other volunteers and the guests, friendships that I'm sure I'll keep for life. My tasks were housekeeping a few days a week, serving breakfast once a week and making two Instagram posts a week. Since I did both housekeeping and taking photos and videos of the hostel, it was tiring at times, but overall the hours of work and free time were really good. There's a really nice park next to the hostel, Hendon Park, and the fact that the hostel is right in front of the tube station is great.

I had an amazing experience at this hostel, from the moment I arrived, I felt incredibly welcomed by the warm and friendly staff. The communal spaces are fantastic—perfect for socializing, working, eating, or just relaxing. The working hours were always respected, and the tasks were simple and manageable, making it easy to enjoy my time both working and exploring the city. It truly felt like a home away from home and was such a vibrant, enjoyable place to live. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great community vibe in London!

My experience at the the hostel was my first, and it was wonderful. All the staff members were incredible friends that I will remember and carry with me for life (Victor, Ayo, María, Thaís, Michel, Daniel, and Lionel, I love you all very much). I was able to get to know and enjoy the city of London at a leisurely pace. The hostel is close to the subway, and there are also bus stops, and green park nearby. The tasks are simple, and you learn quickly. The free dinners on Tuesdays and Thursdays are excellent opportunities to meet people and practice languages.
