Atividades & Turnos

Daily Activities Checklist

1. Morning Devotions (8:00 am - 8:30 am)
- Participate in morning prayers and devotions with the children and staff.
2. Childcare and Education (8:30 am - 12:00 pm)
- Assist with teaching, mentoring, and caring for the children.
- Help with homework, reading, and other educational activities.
3. Lunch Break (12:00 pm - 1:00 pm)
- Take a break and have lunch with the children and staff.
4. Community Outreach (1:00 pm - 3:00 pm)
- Participate in community outreach programs, such as visiting vulnerable families, distributing food and supplies, and providing emotional support.
5. Administrative Tasks (3:00 pm - 4:00 pm)
- Assist with administrative tasks, such as data entry, reporting, and fundraising.

Shifts

- Morning Shift: 8:00 am - 12:00 pm (Childcare and Education)
- Afternoon Shift: 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm (Community Outreach and Administrative Tasks)
- Flexible Shift: Depending on the needs of the ministry, volunteers may be required to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends.

Notes

- Volunteers are expected to work 5-6 hours per day, Monday to Friday.
- Weekends are usually free, but volunteers may be required to participate in occasional weekend activities or events.
- Volunteers are encouraged to take breaks and rest when needed, and to communicate with the ministry staff if they have any concerns or needs.

1. Respect for Children and Staff: Treat all children and staff with respect, kindness, and compassion.
2. Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information about the children, staff, and ministry.
3. Professionalism: Conduct yourself in a professional and respectful manner at all times.

Safety and Security

1. Travel Arrangements: Arrange for your own travel to and from Jinja, Uganda.
2. Health Insurance: Ensure you have comprehensive health insurance that covers you in Uganda.
3. Safety Precautions: Take necessary safety precautions, such as using reputable transportation and avoiding traveling alone at night.

Accommodation and Meals

1. Shared Accommodation: Share a room with other volunteers or staff members.
2. Meal Times: Attend meal times and respect the meal schedule.
3. Food Allergies: Inform us of any food allergies or dietary restrictions.

Communication

1. Regular Updates: Provide regular updates to the ministry staff regarding your schedule, plans, and any issues or concerns.
2. Respect for Local Culture: Respect local customs, traditions, and communication styles.

Miscellaneous

1. Flexibility: Be flexible and adaptable, as plans and schedules may change.
2. Teamwork: Collaborate with other volunteers and staff members to achieve common goals.
3. Respect for Ministry Property: Respect and care for ministry property, including equipment, vehicles, and facilities.
