Your contribution is to cover the three daily meals and your pickup from Cashibococha, which need you need to cross in boat to get to the project. The contribution can also be paid in the local currency, which is soles (PEN).

Our volunteer program at La Colorada is a hands-on opportunity to live sustainably, connect with nature, and make a meaningful impact in the Peruvian Amazon. Volunteers assist in maintaining our bio-farm, planting and nurturing trees for reforestation, collecting seeds, and exploring sustainable agricultural practices. Additionally, you'll engage with the local community by organizing classes or workshops for children in Lacre, focusing on environmental, cultural, or educational topics.
Atividades & Turnos
Daily activities for volunteers include:
Bio-Farm and Reforestation Tasks:
Cleaning areas around the house and farm.
Planting seeds or seedlings and fertilizing the soil.
Collecting and cataloging seeds or young plants for propagation.
Maintaining and pruning existing trees and plants.
Creating and updating an inventory of trees and plants, noting their health, growth stage, and location.
Sustainable Farming:
Dividing land into sections to optimize planting based on microclimates and topography.
Testing new planting techniques and combinations of crops.
Collecting and planting banana shoots and experimenting with grafting techniques to improve crop yields.
Community Engagement:
Preparing and teaching classes to children in Lacre on topics like the environment, local history, or language.
Visiting Shipibo villages to learn about their traditions, knowledge of plants, and sustainable practices.
Volunteer House Maintenance:
Assisting with household tasks to keep the volunteer house clean and organized.

4.Show respect for the local community, its residents, and their traditions. 🙏✨
