Detalhes

Dao Home is welcoming cultural residents who want to learn, create, and connect in a slow-living community in the mountains of Chiang Dao. Our space blends art, nature, wellness, and Thai culture — and for the past year, we’ve grown into a creative village with mud homes, eco-gardens, and a small gym and wellness area.

This is not a work-exchange program. Instead, it’s a cultural learning residency where guests join a few guided sessions each week to experience local practices, creative projects, and community life. Participation is flexible — some days you join hands-on, other days you observe, learn, rest, or explore Chiang Dao.

What to expect from the residency:
• 2–3 guided cultural sessions/week (mosaic, natural building, gardening, Thai cooking, animal care, creative projects)
• Exposure to eco-living, mud-house techniques, organic food practices & community wellness
• Freedom to share your own ideas or skills with the group
• Cultural immersion through activities with our Thai team (Tom, Oum, Noot, Linda)
• Optional add-on experiences available across our spaces (Lilac & Mayu)

What we offer residents:
• Cozy AC rooms (shared by default; group upgrades available)
• Daily home-cooked meals sourced from local farms
• Community spaces: mountain-view gym, ice bath area, garden, coworking corners
• Evenings of music, shared cooking, storytelling & village lifestyle
• Access to a calm, supportive environment surrounded by nature, animals & creative people

Residents support our community by contributing to shared costs — food, accommodation, maintenance, and cultural activities. This keeps the program legal in Thailand and ensures fair sustainability for all.

You’ll live alongside our dogs, cats, and turtles, meet travelers from around the world, and experience dail

Atividades & Turnos

🌱 Farming & Gardening – Learn local growing techniques, help with herbs, veggies & fruits for our farm-to-table kitchen.
🏡 Natural Building – Join mud home & bamboo learning sessions with guidance from local builders.
🎨 Art & Creative Projects – Mosaic, murals, DIY decor & small design projects around the property.
🐕 Community & Wellness – Light animal care, simple kitchen help, or local-led cultural sessions.

⏰ Shift Style:
We follow a slow-living, flexible rhythm. Expect around 2–6 hrs on days we have activities, usually half-a-day.
Some days have no activities at all — it depends on weather, builders, and the flow of the week.
Residents may also join optional Thai-led culture sessions or host their own (art, music, storytelling, wellness, etc.).

This is not a work-exchange program — participation is based on learning, cultural exchange, and shared community life.
