I'm incredibly grateful for my time at the Center—it was nothing short of amazing! From the very beginning, Corina and Ryan were warm, kind, and welcoming. I loved being just a short walk from the ocean, snorkeling every day. The work was fair, though at times challenging due to the heat and humidity. During my stay, I learned so much about veganism, the culture of St. Croix, and the rich ecosystem of the Caribbean. I also had the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people. I will forever cherish my time here!

Staying at the Center was an amazing experience and I'm very grateful for my time there. The location is so beautiful, I loved being able to swim or snorkel everyday and I hope I can go back soon. Corina and Ryan were both so kind from the beginning and I felt very welcomed. The work can definitely be challenging in the climate, but I did learn about a lot of new things which I enjoyed. I'd definitely recommend this for experiencing a vegan lifestyle and spending a lot of time with nature.

Voluntariar en FLI es increíble, los host siempre fueron muy amables, respetuosos y abiertos a enseñarte todo lo que les apasiona y permitirte sumergirte en sus proyectos. La isla es muy bonita y es el lugar indicado para quienes buscan pasar más tiempo consigo mismos y conectar con la naturaleza. Probé comida deliciosa y mis tareas y horarios siempre fueron respetados. Hace mucho calor y la humedad hace que se sienta más intenso. Pero definitivamente recomiendo esta experiencia, ya quiero regresar 🪸🥺

My time at the Center was so special! Being surrounded by beautiful nature and having the ocean right at our doorstep to go swimming and snorkeling every day was amazing. The work was fair (though sometimes physically demanding due to heat and humidity) and the agreed-upon hours were respected. It was a great team of volunteers while I was there which enhanced my experience. Ryan and Corina Reare great hosts, always make sure to advocate for yourself and they will accommodate you. I would recommend other travelers to come here if they want to connect to nature and plant-based lifestyle.

I loved my time at the Center so much that I extended my stay! Corina & Ryan's property is beautiful, a true oasis. I enjoyed being surrounded by like-minded individuals when it comes to health & wellness as well as sustainability. I loved that there were bikes for the volunteers to borrow. Overall I learned new vegan recipes that I can incorporate into my everyday life and more ways to protect the environment through sustainability!

My time at the Center was short but i couldn't of asked for a better experience! Corina and Ryan are some of the kindest people i've ever met and they really made me feel welcomed. I enjoyed the tasks we were given which was mainly catering for a retreat. We got to work in the cookhouse with chef Niki and serve the guests. Niki is also an amazing person who made the job fun and she made great food! The property at the Center is beautiful and Corina did a great job telling us about it and the history of the Island. I recommend this experience 100% and hope to be back one day!

I really enjoyed my time at the Center and would love to come back one day! Ryan and Corina are very nice hosts and passionate about the environment and their projects. The landscapes surrounding the Inn are breathtaking and it's easy to explore the area as bikes and snorkeling gear are at ones disposal. Discovering more of the island will require to either rent a car or meet someone with a car, as cycling to Christiansted (by far the busiest place on the island) is impossible and taxis are completely overpriced. Nonetheless I loved my stay and got to make new friends!

This was my first ever volunteering experience. The working hours were as agreed to 5 hours a day, 5 times a week. The work was mostly cleaning, weeding or other work that needed to be done and although it was tough sometimes, it was also rewarding. The volunteers lived together in a small house which was super fun and I got to make amazing new friends. During your free time you get to experience island life: beach, snorkelling etc… Overall I think this was a great experience, thank you Ryan and Corina!

I had a fantastic time volunteering at the Center! The work hours and expectations were fair, the provided food was plentiful and delicious, and the accommodations were far more comfortable than other work-exchanges I've done. Ryan and Corina are so fun and very knowledgeable about the reef environment and island culture. I highly recommend staying at the Center. Go night snorkeling with Ryan, eat fresh mango, and swim in the ocean every day (: I'll be back!
