I had a very nice time with the people at peacefarm, gardening and some carpentry. Matt and Cat are great hosts, there were events like yoga and community pot luck dinners you could attend. The tasks and schedule were fair, giving me enough time for myself and to explore. They gave me rides to a market or events in nearby towns. and introduced me to the community. I was able to connect with nature, make new experiences and see farm projects move forward, which was nice! Would recommend to anyone who wants a down to earth and fun experience.

I learned a variety of gardening skills, including seed propagation, preparing garden beds, planting, weeding with various tools, and more -- and have fun doing so! Matt is great at teaching in an entertaining way and keeping things light-hearted. I also got to take part in multiple festivals/markets while I was here, and participate in events such as yoga sessions led by Cat at the farm, and poetry night at the nearby community center (ECOSS). It was a pleasure getting to know all of the farm residents - adults, kids, volunteers, dogs, cats and goats!
