My experience at the eco village was unforgettable! From the moment I arrived, I felt completely welcomed! The host, Angelo, is an incredible person, full of knowledge and a good sense of humor :) We had opportunities to learn so much — from bamboo construction and permaculture to cooking and creative building projects. Outside of work, there was also a lot to explore! We stayed in handcrafted bamboo houses that were not only unique and charming, but also super comfortable! I left with new knowledge, incredible memories, and so much love for this magical place.

It's hard to express how grateful I am for this experience. I felt welcomed from start to finish. I learned a lot about bamboo and didn't expect the structure that was given to us. I am eternally grateful. I really recommend to everyone to go.

I immediately was able to adjust comfortably in the eco village (in Villa 1). Angelo guided us from the beginning and throughout our stay in the farm. Everything was chill. They do not pressure us to finish everything at once. As for me, I learned a lot about building structures using bamboo, creating a food forest, setting up a compost bin, cooking and presenting dishes, yoga. Additionally, we visited Kwagsik falls and Sea of Clouds, played basketball and gave a basic self-defense class. It is amazing how when you give of your time, even much more is given back to you. I am truly thankful.

This experience was truly amazing! I felt so welcomed and cared for. I learned so much about bamboo, and the kindness of the host made me feel at home. I will always cherish these moments and the beautiful connections I made here.

This was my first Worldpackers experience, and I don't know if anything will ever top it! From playing basketball with the locals, to the exceptional accommodations, to learning about bamboo and what the eco village is committed to, it was a truly amazing experience. The host, Angelo, immediately made me feel right at home and is so knowledgeable about everything bamboo and architecture. the eco village is truly a Magical place and I can't wait to see what the future has in store for it.

Everyone at the eco village is so welcoming and warm. I learned so much about bamboo, permaculture, cooking, and building. Angelo encouraged us not to be shy with proposing contributions, from a food forest to wind chimes to a bookshelf, all ideas are welcomed and supported. The work/play balance was perfect. Angelo made sure that outside of working hours we were able to get to know and enjoy the area with market visits, waterfall hikes, campfires, karaoke. This was my first Worldpackers experience and I can tell it will be a hard one to top. I love the eco village!!

I planned to stay for three weeks but ended up extending – needless to say, I had a great time! As a first-time volunteer, I was nervous what to expect, but from day one, Angelo made me feel right at home. The villa quickly became a place full of laughter, delicious food, and an amazing sense of community. The work was diverse, and everyone could focus on what interested them most. I especially loved building a bamboo chair, with the carpenters guiding me and sharing their skills along the way. I'm grateful to have been part of eco village's mission and can't wait to return!

The eco village was my first volunteer experience, and without a doubt, it will always be the most special one. They all made me feel at home, and the place is truly amazing. The atmosphere is very welcoming, and Angelo is always ready to help with anything. The work environment is a lot of fun, and I honestly couldn't be more grateful to all of them. Without a doubt, I will return as soon as I can!

I had a great time at the eco village! As soon as I got there, I was very warmly welcomed and quickly felt like a part of the eco village family. Angelo really made this place feel like home! You work closely with the coordinators, other volunteers, and the Matigsalug tribespeople. Everybody at the farm was super supportive and helpful in implementing personal projects and learning about cooking, gardening and bamboo carpentry. At the same time, we worked on a communal project, redesigning a piece of land to create a sustainable permaculture garden. Can't wait to get back :)
