My week volunteering at Hiddeg Garten was the worst experience so far. Training lasted only 15 minutes, with no clear instructions. Fernando was flexible and helpful with tours, but Monet was terrible. He treated us like servants, lied about money he still owes, stole our charger, took our food without asking, and showed no empathy. He even expected me to clean a flooded living room while I was sick. The kitchen was filthy, and we were constantly disrespected. He expected us to keep the kitchen spotless and dishes clean, yet he left everything dirty.Read the Booking and Google reviews before

It's good for having a base in Cusco and Fernando was really flexible with excursions and our hours were respected. However, it isn't very well organised and the training you are given is minimal so it was difficult to know what to do and help guests if there was any problems. Also the manager was difficult to work with which made the place and work more challenging

It's a good experience if you just want somewhere to stay in Cusco with easy work but the hotel is not managed very well so can be a bit chaotic at times. Expect to just be left to work with little guidance which would be fine if the management was better. The temporary manager of the volunteers was difficult to work with and made us feel uncomfortable but that might of just been our experience.

Pasé unas semanas muy lindas en the hotel. El trabajo es fácil pero largo ya que se tiene que cumplir 30 horas semanales. Me gustaba mucho la ubicación del Hotel, ya que está lejos del ruido de la ciudad pero se puede llegar al centro fácilmente en bus. Me sentí muy bien con los otros voluntariados con los cuales salí mucho para explorar la ciudad. Muchas gracias por la oportunidad!

Super expérience après celle que j'ai vécu avant. Tout c'est super bien passé avec l'équipe de Fernando. Ils sont joignables, ils font des efforts pour ceux qui apprennent l'espagnol. Les horaires sont flexibles, vous avez des prix sur les visites aux alentours. Vous êtes avec d'autres worldpackers. C'est top. L'hôtel est en ville, à 35min du centre historique qui est splendide. Vous êtes bien accompagnés et l'expérience est superbe. Je recommande vivement. Vous serez moins en contact avec la culture péruvienne, car dans un hotel ce n'est pas la vie quotidienne. Mais questionnez !!!

Este fue mi primer voluntariado y todavía estoy agradecido por la experiencia. Trabajé turnos de noche y día. El trabajo es tranquilo y la familia anfitriona te hace sentir como en casa. Todos cuidan el negocio con cuidado y respeto. Me encantó la experiencia y espero volver a verlos algún día. Gratitud

Esta fue mi primera experiencia como voluntario y la disfruté mucho, era un hotel familiar y todos me recibieron muy bien, siempre muy comprensivos y flexibles. Practiqué mi español, tuve contacto con gente de todo el mundo y al mismo tiempo me conecté con la cultura local. Lo recomiendo mucho 🥰

La experiencia fue linda, el trabajo nocturno no es tan pesado. Y me encanta que el negocio sea familiar, le da un toque acogedor. La Sra. Nancy es un amor de persona, siempre preocupada como una madre. Y su esposo siempre hace reir con sus ocurrencias y da muy buenos consejos. Sobre la habitación de voluntarios hubo unos cuantos problema pero todos resueltos al final. Muchas gracias por todo, les deseo mucha suerte.

I enjoyed my time volunteering at the hotel and exploring Cusco. Fernando and his family were very welcoming and made me feel at home. The schedule is flexible, and the tasks for working night-shift reception was easy and straight-forward. Muchas gracias!
