Sailing with Ian was one of the most interesting experiences I've ever had in my life. The first few days can be a bit challenging, but over time, you get used to it. The work on the boat is quite flexible, and Ian is always willing to teach, in addition to having an amazing sense of humor and being great company. Thank you for everything! <3

Khel is a most beautiful woman! She would make any host happy who offers a position for her communicating with the public. As a freelance journalist she spends most of her free time on digital media. It was funny to see her response when we were anchored in remote locations with NO internet! She admits her hands on physical work needs improving. Like all guests I tried to teach her skills on the boat which she did enjoy. Her cooking was outstanding and enjoyable to eat. I wish her all

Yana as l learnt to call her is a mature and responsible woman who loves her quite time meditating and doing yoga. She would often remain on the yacht while others were out doing the tourist things Her food was great and she kept my yacht clean and tidy. Her boat skills were limited but did enjoy and was involved. I think she will do well in her chosen path, yoga teacher. I wish her all the best in the future

I had a great time on Wilson, I stayed for a total of 6 weeks and it was a nice balance between work and relaxing. Ian is very kind and has some awesome stories about his life! However, he sometimes makes some inappropriate jokes which I didn't appreciate. Overall if you want to experience what it's like to live on a boat and meet other sailers it's a great opportunity.

I had a great time on Wilson – we got two days of sailing in, and I arrived just in time to come off the hardstand and enjoy life on the water. Work was well matched to ability & strengths, & the facilities were clean and tidy. Ian is easygoing and kind. That said, he occasionally makes sexist/sexual remarks, which though personally I'm fairly desensitised to, I know others would find inappropriate & it's something worth noting in a shared environment. Otherwise, I'd recommend the experience to those who enjoy hands-on learning and living on a boat!

Thank you so much for your honesty. Yes I love to make jokes and try to cheer people up. You are a delightful person who adds to the fellowship with others. Your a good worker & most of all of your work was to my satisfaction. Sadly I will not be taking on any more female backpackers for that very reason. With me it's what you see is what you get and I don't think I'll ever change that so that's why male workers would probably be better. Enjoy your life. any host would be pleased with you.

Ive had the most amazing time on Wilson with Ian and other volunteers. From being up on the hard stand to in the water I've loved every moment of it. It's given a very honest look at what it takes to own, maintain and live on a boat. I've learned so much loved every second.

The moment Carter got on the boat, he was easy to get along with. He is a clear LEADER and 100% responsible & trustworthy. He takes the initiative in all tasks we does. He is quick and efficient in his work ethic & needs only to be told once & gets on with the job. If he is unsure he asks before he acts. He has loads of energy & doesn't care if the task goes overtime. Carter is a lovely man & communicates well with fellow work mates and people he meets. I cannot say enough about this man

Thank you Ian ☀️ I had an amazing experience on the Wilson boat. Ian is a good teacher, very patient and explains clearly how it works, what needs to be done. Very sympathic and with a lot of humour too. It maked everyday life on the boat very friendly : good vibes, big laughs and nice talks :) I am so greatful I learnt so many things about boats, navigation. Now ready for my next sailing adventure !

I loved being around this beautiful young woman. So so polite and quite with a lovely character.

She took instructions well and understood my dry sarcastic sense of humour. The work she did was done well and without mistakes.

Any host will be happy Arnau.
He is a hard worker. I fact he loves to work. He even volunteered to do other tasks after we completed jobs.

I would accept him back on my boat without hesitation

I had so much fun. Ian is so good and responsible person. I trust him a lot. Work is super easy and flexible. Rebak island is so beautiful. We sailed for 3 days and views were amazing. Totally worth it. I felt like I am with my family. Other volunteers were super chill. We cooked food together and Ian make so good breakfast. No compromising in food items and groceries. So clean and healthy food. I loved it there. I wish I could go back🥰

This woman is very beautiful and very clever. Her hands on practical experience is limited but she is quick to learn. I feel she would make a great asset communicating with the public.

Ian is an easy going captain. Respects your free time and a good chat. I had a very good time on the boat! Beautiful views, good food and a lot of free time. We sailed a bit of West Langkawi but due weather and some maintenance we spend the last week on Rebak Island at a beautiful resort in the Marina. Thank you for the experience Ian! :)

I loved having Odette on my boat.

Any host will enjoy her company she has a really good sense of humour gets involved in work most times without asking.

I would have her back on my boat without any hesitation.
