Expectations from Volunteers:
1. Commitment: We seek dedicated volunteers who can commit to a minimum of duration of two months. Consistency is key in building trust and making a meaningful impact.
2. Cultural Sensitivity: Volunteers should approach their work with respect and understanding of the cultural and social context of the refugee camp.
3. Flexibility: The environment in a refugee camp can be unpredictable. Volunteers should be adaptable and open to taking on various roles as needed.
4. Teamwork: Collaboration with local staff, other volunteers, and community members is essential. Volunteers should be prepared to work as part of a team and contribute to a positive and supportive atmosphere.
5. Proactivity: Volunteers should be self-motivated and proactive in seeking out tasks and responsibilities. Initiative and creativity in problem-solving are highly valued.

Educational Support:
• Morning Session:
o Review and prepare lesson plans and teaching materials.
o Conduct classroom activities or tutoring sessions with children or adults.
o Assess and document student progress and areas needing additional support.
o Provide one-on-one or group support to students as needed.
• Afternoon Session:
o Facilitate interactive learning activities or educational games.
o Collaborate with local teachers or educators to discuss strategies and improvements.
o Participate in educational workshops or training sessions for personal development.
Social Work:
• Morning Session:
o Conduct home visits or community outreach to check on families and individuals.
o Provide counseling or emotional support to individuals or groups.
o Assist with connecting community members to essential services and resources.

Regras

A Day in the Life of a Volunteer:
Your day will typically start with a briefing session to discuss goals and activities. Depending on your assigned tasks, you might spend the morning teaching a class, working one-on-one with individuals, or assisting with health education sessions. Afternoons could involve community outreach, leading workshops, or documenting events. Each day will be varied, with opportunities to engage with different aspects of the empowerment programs and interact with diverse members of the camp community. You’ll also have regular debriefs to reflect on your experiences and discuss any challenges or successes with your team.
