I couldn't have been luckier to do my first volunteering at the hostel, it truly changed my life! The environment is so special: I met amazing people and most importantly, connected with the local culture. Thai people are simply the best! The work is well-organized with a flexible schedule, and I loved working longer some days to enjoy more full days off in the city and work in my other projects. Communication with Som was always clear, and it felt great to contribute to guests' happiness. Special thanks to the wonderful staff who make this place unforgettable. <3

My time teaching yoga at the hostel was lovely! Overall it was such a chill, low-key experience. I taught yoga 5 days a week, just 1 hour a day. It was typically 2-3 days on, 1 off. They sent me my full schedule before I arrived which was great and everything went as discussed. The women that worked there were all so kind. All the free time allowed plenty of time to explore the area, work remotely (they have great wifi), and get to know other travelers (it's super social without being party and draws great people). Can recommend, especially for new yoga teachers.

My experience at the hostel was nothing but amazing 💕!! Thank you to all the staff who were truly and genuinely supportive. My schedule was amazing and I had plenty of time to explore the awesome city of the hostel. The hostel feels like a place where people flow in and out, each leaving a mark. I say this because I was genuinely saddened after meeting so many different people I felt a deep connection with. That's what makes the hostel special—you can shape your experience here however you like. Spend time connecting with others, join the smoker's club, sit in the middle of the hostel during a heavy rain, or take a quiet moment alone to focus and decompress. The choice is always yours in this community. During my stay, the team was excellent—no complaints at all.

The time I spend in the hostel has been life changing for me. I truly feel blessed by the opportunity to share and improve my yoga teaching skills surrounded with a team this kind. the hostel is beautiful and the location is unbeatable with plenty of time to explore and dwell in the local culture with the kind recommendations of the staff. Being here has been a true lesson on generosity for me.

The hostel is really like a family. Everyone was smiling and happy to help. I loved teaching the yoga classes and seeing the people relaxed and smiling at the end of the class. I feel like this experience was a gain for all of us. I have grown and improved and also gave something back. I hope to come back here some other time! :)

This was my first Worldpackers experience and it couldn't have been better! the hostel and staff are amazing—I felt at home right away. I taught yoga for 1 hour a day and had plenty of time to explore and make friends (one of the most social hostels I've been to!). Classes were in a peaceful garden in the heart of the old town, with space for about 15 guests. the hostel is super clean, spacious, and the breakfast is fresh and delicious. Communication was smooth and the team so friendly. Thank you for everything—I already miss the hostel and the hostel Family!

Truly an unforgettable experience. the hostel is like a family. My time here had been truly wonderful. We can't find enough words to express how happy we were to have Anthony with us! He’s such an amazing person—kind, adaptable, and always ready to help whenever needed. His yoga classes were incredible, and our guests absolutely loved them! Beyond that, he fit right in with our team and guests, bringing such a positive energy to The Yard. The hostel is more than just a hostel. It's a family that I was so fortunate to be a part of. The staff was so kind and the owners (The Soms) make the hostel feel like a 2nd home. Grateful I got to be there for the 10 year anniversary celebration, meeting so many amazing people from around the world and hearing the stories about the hostel. The night shift was super easy and I enjoyed meeting locals and travelers every shift! It is in a great location, walking distance to almost everything in the old city. I would recommend this place 1000%. I will cherish the memories I made there forever ❤️
