Fue una muy linda experiencia 🥰 si bien no tengo otras experiencias de voluntariados como para comparar (pues fue el primero), puedo decir que me sentí muy cómoda. Simón y Jessica fueron muy amables y generosos en cuanto a sus prestaciones. Por su parte, las horas de trabajo fueron amenas y respetadas. Aprendí a hacer cosas y a usar herramientas que nunca había hecho o usado 💪. Mizque es un lugar muy tranquilo. Fue muy bueno ir a parar ahí después de un mes de andar viajando de acá para allá. Pude asentarme y descansar, y también desacelerar el ritmo de viaje y de vida. Gracias!

Este voluntariado fue nuestro primero, y podemos decir por suerte que tuvimos una hermosa primer experiencia☺️✨. Jessi y Simon fueron unos muy buenos anfitriones, nos recibieron con mucho cariño y nos hicieron sentir parte de su vida por dos semanas. El lugar es cómodo, tiene las instalaciones necesarias para poder llevar una estadía muy agradable. El trabajo es diverso y no requiere de grandes habilidades ni esfuerzo físico. Las actividades se realizan por la mañana, y a partir del medio día los voluntarixs quedan libres para disfrutar y descansar 🙌🏻😊.

El lugar tiene algo mágico que sentí desde el primer día cuando llegué. Puede ser por la tranquilidad, la gente, los sonidos de la naturaleza... me hizo enamorarme mucho mas en la naturaleza y la vida en el campo. Las tareas fueron muy sencillos y para mi y muy vareados, así que pude aprender un montón de cosas de un estilo de vida mas sostenible. Igual por el curso aprendí mucho de permacultura por lo que tengo mucha motivación a aplicar ese conocimiento en mi casa futura. Gracias Jessi y Simon para recebirme con tanto amor en su casa y compartir su estilo de vivir conmigo!

Estar aquí es una oportunidad muy maravillosa para mí, me gusta la manera en que se desarrolla el trabajo, lo ordenado que se puede ser aquí, la comida deliciosa que recibimos y la gente con la que se puede llegar a interactuar.. Veo que es un proyecto interesante que aún se puede potenciar mucho más, aplicando la Permacultura de una manera aún más radical Gracias por recibirme de esa manera tan agradable!

Mizque es un lugar que vale la pena visitar, sumado a eso el espacio que tiene Simon es aún mejor! El trabajo es variado y activo. Él es paciente y le gusta enseñar. Para llegar al pueblo desde la casa no se camina más de 15min, hay muchas actividades para hacer en el tiempo libre en la naturaleza. La comida es un plus! Es fresca, deliciososa y nutritiva. Nos tomamos turnos para cocinar también pero Jessica hace la mejor comida! Les agradezco mucho y ya quiero volver

La experiencia con Simon y Jessica fue increíble. Son personas amables, divertidas y muy dedicadas, en todo momento nos sentimos arropadas. Jessica cocina como una diosa con todos los productos de la huerta de la propiedad. Además, con ella aprendimos el 'saludos al sol' de Yoga que ahora incorporamos en nuestra rutina de viaje. Durante el marco del voluntariado Simon nos enseñó diferentes cosas relacionadas con el mantenimiento de la propiedad y el cultivo de la tierra. Las horas de trabajo eran más que perfectas Para rematar la experiencia Jessica y Simon nos invitaron a una BODA BOLIVIANA

I volunteered at the centre for two weeks. Simon and Jessica are great, the schedules are kept and the work is varied. I shared the days off with other volunteers and went by car to the river and waterfall to pass the heat and drought of November. I think it should be clarified that some of the activities that appear in their profile (for example meals or yoga classes) are just included in the permaculture course (195$) and need to be paid separately for volunteers. Food is 100 bs per week and is absolutely worth it. (fresh, varied, healthy). Thank you both so much for everything! 🥰

We have since notified Worldpackers that the way their system prompts hosts to display available services gets mispresented as free to prospective volunteers.
We are very clear with what is and what isnt included before anyone arrives including with you. They are resolving this issue now.

As an aside, I went out of my way to teach you carpentry and support you over 2 mornings to make the door which would have taken me 30 minutes to make. There is no mention of such in your review. It can make a host feel unappreciated and recalcitrant to make such efforts over and above the agreed free exchange. Please bear this in mind in the future.

We spend 3 really nice weeks on the beautiful farm of Simon and Jessica. The food was always fresh and tasty. We know, by so many people around, it can get difficult to keep the places clean, but the kitchen could be a little bit tidier. We really enjoyed the company of all the other people around. We also learned a lot in the course, but missed a little the focus on gardening. Simon and Jessica where always helpful and welcoming and showed us great places, like canyons, rivers and waterfalls. We would defently recommend a stay with them.

The stay with Jessica and Simon was overall very pleasant. The work was well organized. Above all, the people and the daily fresh food were phenomenal. Unfortunately, we had to make small cuts in terms of cleanliness. We also found that the money spent on the course was not very worthwhile. We would have liked more information about gardening or plants and a little less political ideologies. We would still recommend the farm. The great Pizza night, the arm wrestling tournament, movie nights, plenty of games and amazing Tipps for waterfalls and hiking tours have been totaly worth it.

Thanks for your feedback on the course and other item. We have since put in place a schedule for cleaning of shared areas involving the volunteers. The course has also been modified to provide much more focus on plants, garden planning and gardening techniques with a lot more practical for that. The discussion around changing belief systems, the cycle and grief and societal solutions has been made an optional as we understand that, for some people, it is too hard to discuss openly.
