I had the best time with Ross! He is very diligent about explaining jobs and answers any questions you might have. I will really miss the animals! I made such great memories, I cannot recommend it enough.

Ross is such a kind and genuine person, and so are his friends and family who I was lucky enough to meet. The tasks were varied and flexible - weeding, lawn mowing, working on the B&B renovation, using power tools, cooking, feeding the animals daily… it was largely up to what we felt comfortable with or wanted to learn. The property is beautiful and great for morning runs. Will miss napping by the fire with the dogs ❤️

This experience has been a real pleasure! The animals are just adorable and Ross it's an amazing host and person. He takes so much care of you and his animals, and he makes you feel at home. All the duties and tasks are fun and quite easy to do, but if you have any type of struggle, he's going to help and teach you as much as possible. So if you like animals (especially dogs) and you enjoy the countryside and working outside, this is the best place you can volunteer in. I would definitely come back if possible. Thanks, Ross, for such an amazing time with you.

This was a fantastic experience. Ross goes above and beyond to make sure you are happy and comfortable. All of the animals are amazing and it is so much fun taking care of them. You learn a ton about animal care, farming in New Zealand, and nature. Ross also makes sure you have opportunities to explore the area, and has lots if recommendations on where else to go in New Zealand once you finish your volunteering experience. Thanks Ross!

Staying with Ross was the most amazing experience. He is so lovely and welcomes you into his home fully, with 4 cutie dogs too! The work was fun and was so nice to be outside connecting with nature, feeding the animals and learning new skills. Ross's property is beautiful with so much green and adventure. Would 100% recommend and will definitely be back for more❤️

The property - beautiful. All the animals - adorable. Ross - simply amazing. Whether it was items I requested from the store, simple everyday chats, fun weekend trips or some great advice he gave me after my breakup, Ross provided everything I needed and so much more. He always prioritized my wellbeing and made sure to pick varying tasks I felt comfortable with. I truly got to connect with Ross and will forever be greatful for everything he's done for me (the list is endless). The only reason why I wouldn't recommend this experience is that I wanna gatekeep it for myself. Best woofing ever!

I only stayed a week with Ross but could've easily spent more. I enjoyed every aspect of this experience, Ross was a wonderful host, the work was well explained and wasn't too intense, the accommodations were comfortable and well-equipped, and the animals were all amazing. Acclimating to everything was pretty easy, as I was fortunate enough to have my stay overlap with a couple other girls. This was my first Worldpackers experience and I don't think I could've picked a better one. Thank you for everything!

I stayed with Ross for one week and it was truely amazing. I stayed there with an other gitl, therefore it was also really nice for me to get in touch with otjer travellers as well. Ross welcomed us with open arms and made us feel like we're at home. I had a nice room just for myself and I felt really comfortable there. Would defneatly recommend staying there as Ross tried to make the best out of your experience!! Thank you so much:))

I absolutely loved staying with Ross! It was so lovely and really helped with my nervousness as it was my first time doing a worldpackers experience. I am so glad this was the first because it couldn't have been better!!! Ross is just amazing, so kind and attentive and I miss my five little baby dogs everyday 😣. Thank you so so much it was amazing!

Ross is a great host and truly makes you feel at home. The place is very peaceful and you have your own room which is great. I loved being around all the animals and spending time here, the dogs especially are great company. The work was well explained and very manageable; gardening, lawn work, cooking, cleaning etc. I only stayed a week here but would definitely have spent more time if I had it! Definitely recommend this experience if you are looking to connect with nature and learn new skills!
