Detalhes

We are a retreat center, hostel, and cultural center in Zipolite, México. Zipolite is the only "official" nude beach in Mexico, and our place is a clothes-optional space. It was founded by Anthony, an architect; Maybel, a trans-disciplinary artist; and Daniel, a doctor and dancer. It is run by Ernesto, a body therapist and stage artist. We aim to be a welcoming and caring episodic home and cultural location to inspire poiesis and connect residents with themselves, each other, the local context, and natural surroundings.

WHAT WE OFFER
Accomodation in a bunk bed in a shared dorm. We provide bedsheets, pillows and towels, and you will have a locker to keep your valuables. Use of the facilities, letter of invitation (if needed), discounts in our events

WE DON'T OFFER
We do not provide food, but there is a fully equipped kitchen, fridge space, and staple ingredients for cooking.

Atividades & Turnos

We need help in cleaning and general maintenance. There is a person who does the day-to-day cleaning (except on Sundays, when volunteers take over) and we have some special projects, such as gardening, deep cleaning certain areas, washing yoga mats, vacuuming couches and mattresses, cleaning fans and light fixtures, cleaning wood furniture, among other things. Ideally, work would be done during the morning hours, in 3-hour shifts. This position is for people who are familiar with cleaning big spaces and feel comfortable using cleaning tools and implements.

Regras

Our hostel is a clothing-optional space (except for the pool and the sauna, where nudity is required), and most of our guests choose to not wear clothes. If you are not comfortable with social nudity for personal/religious reasons, this is not the place for you.

We have a strict non-harassment policy and clear guidelines that help us maintain a respectful atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable and safe. We ask you to abide by these rules and be respectful of everyone at all times.

We are favored by LGBTQ+ folks and we are commited to inclusion and respect for all expressions. If you are not open to sharing the space and interacting with LGBTQ+ folks, this is not the place for you. If you apply for this position, you will be asked to provide a particular word to prove that you read everything, the answer is the name of our dog (if you have read everything with attention, you'll know it).

We recycle all of our water, so we ask you to not use shampoo or soap different to the one we provide, which is kind to our biodigestor.

Personal cleanliness and tidyness is essential for this position. Sobriety is expected from volunteers during their shifts.
