The Rosewood experience is such a welcoming and positive place. We had set hours each day and the weekends off, the communication was clear and we worked together to make plans . Our host Hannes is an amazing cook and created incredible dishes for us to try. The location was magical, with a quick 10 min walk to the beach. On the weekends we got to explore local landmarks and Hannes was a great tour guide. I would 100% recommend this program to my fellow volunteers.

Hannes and his family were wonderful to Volunteer for. The weather during our stay was not great but Hannes adapted and always kept our mornings busy. The beach is always worth the 10min walk no matter the weather. Although we where quite rural Hannes ensured that we got to see quite a bit of the local landscapes, landmarks, towns and events. Hannes cooking was always delicious and was very accomidating to my dietary needs (lactose intolerant). The room was spacious with an ensuite which gave ample privacy and space during our stay. Would 100% recommend Hannes as a host for all volunteers!

I had a lovely time at Hannes and Elena's home. Hannes cooked some of the best food I have ever eaten in my life and had my own en-suite double room which was so fancy! Hannes, Elena and their son Gleb were very kind, knowledgeable and accommodating. It was a really special place to rest and explore a beautiful area of Ireland via swimming and sauna-ing at the local beach, hiking and even going on some lovely road trips with Hannes! I worked mainly pruning roses and weeding which was very easy and satisfying. Recommend 1000% thank you again. 😊

It was the best experience I've ever had! Hannes and Elena took great care of me and I really felt like home. It was like a summer vacation at my grandparents' house because they made me feel like their granddaughter. The food was amazing and you definitely won't be hungry. I improved my English, and if you speak German, you'll probably improve that too. The cats and dogs were super cute and curious! I totally fell in love with Ireland and this place—the views were just breathtaking. I couldn't imagine a better place for my first Worldpackers experience!

My husband and I had a lovely stay at Hannes' property! His home and the cottage we stayed in are both very nice and cozy; the surrounding area is beautiful and fun to explore (helps if you have a car); and the work was very reasonable. Hannes is very welcoming and friendly. He's also an amazing cook! We would definitely recommend this stay to anyone who asked!

We had a wonderful experience staying with Hannes in Ireland. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel right at home with their warmth and hospitality. We had a wonderful stay! Everything was perfect and Hannes is an amazing host. He made us feel very welcome and cooked absolutely delicious meals every day, some of the best we've ever had in our lives. The house is cozy, clean, and very comfortable. The beach is only a 3-minute walk away, and the area is full of beautiful places to explore. It's the perfect spot to relax, enjoy nature. We're so grateful for the experience and would love to come back someday. Highly recommended!

Hannes is everything you could hope for in a host and more. He is welcoming, patient, generous, knowledgeable, kind, respectful, caring, and overall just loves life. I will unapologetically stay on trend with other reviews and mention that he is an outstanding cook. The food was simply too good to be true. As for the tasks, I loved the variety and welcomed opportunities to learn new things (especially about bees from Elena!). Hannes shows you what he'd like done and trusts you to da good job, that's all he asks. So do your part! 10/10 recommend this place. I am so grateful to the Hermanns!

My stay with Hannes and Elena couldn't have been better. Hannes is the sweetest man and companion in the world; we became best friends. I explored nearby towns, drank the best Irish beer, met amazing people, and had so much fun accompanying him on all his activities. The property and house are beautiful and the views are breathtaking. He's truly the best chef. I'm going to miss them both, along with the sweetest Ida 🐶 and the mischievous Tosko 😽. Getting to know Hannes, his home and family was a wonderful experience. He was by far the best host I have ever had, always very attentive and grateful, very direct and respectful, I love being able to recommend him, he knows how to be a true host. A good man, a great friend and a spectacular chef. If you are skilled (handy) and you like haute cuisine, I am sure you will enjoy this experience PS: if you like bees or at least you are not afraid of them hahaha, in your free time you can learn a lot from his wife Elena, a wonderful woman, a dedicated teacher and true lover of hives. 🫡✨
