Such a great experience! I've learnt a lot from students and Mrs Putu about Balinese culture and overall this stay gave me more than I expected. Stay at Mrs Putu home was lovely and we were having a good talks. Thanks to the students I've visited places around and at the same time we could talk in English so they could practise communication. Recommend this to everyone who is openminded and ready to improve/practise student's English.

I had an amazing time volunteering at the the school. I got to fully immerse myself in the Balinese culture. All the students were so kind and friendly and always happy to show me around the area, even inviting me to their homes. I had a lot of fun and am so grateful for this experience!! However, I do think there was a lack of communication at times which sometimes made things unclear.

thank you Olivia for your positive feedback and sorry for the lack of communication, my wife was busy, and difficult to make plans in Bali, things all the time changed. In the other hand, the program is free of charge and we will change it. We will ask a minimal contribution and at this moment, we have to make a real program with different daily activities and be more implicated, definitely more well-organized, no doubt. Once again thank you and wish you the best for your future.

It was an awesome experience, very interesting and funny to meet and connect with the locals discovering nature and secret spots. Simply discovering how other people can live. The students were so nice ! However don't expect to feel very welcomed by the place you will stay in, it was ok but nobody at your arrival or explaining how things will works can be disturbing. The locals and the students are the one who makes the experiment awesome !

The program is to stay with local people and as you mention, it was an awesome experience, so sorry to forget to welcome you with flowers at airport, not having shampoo, soap and toilet paper in the free place you stay, do we have to remind you it was a program with no charge ? it is not all included program.........

This was a very interesting experience. I felt really happy to know more about the local culture and share a bit of my personal experience as well with the students. The students are great people and I felt really comfortable with them.

I really loved teaching at the the school. The students were very welcoming and respectful at all times. If you connect well with them, they will help you with everything you need and will show you the local life and family traditions. On the other hand, I didn't feel welcomed at all at the house. The communication was bad, there were things that were not mentioned and sometimes when I needed to ask about something they would leave my messages on read. There was one day that a student came to me and told me that Miss Putu asked him to take me to his house for the night. She didn't even tell me.

Trinidad, maybe my wife Putu feel that we have to give you back so mething, sound like you pay for something and expecting something, you just arrived and straight ask for wifi, laundry, food, do u think we are hotel ? did you pay something ? honestly, we stop the program because we really fed up to receive people as you, do not want tot spend 1 dollar, never ever give money for gazoline, even for the parking 10 cents, it is always the students who do not have money have to pay when they go out with you, you do not feel a little bit shame ??? you think because you speak few hours with hours students (and not teaching), you want everything free and feel like hotel ???? do you think we live in the jungle and do not have english teacher ? My dear, what you want is not volunteering, you do not understand the meaning of volunteering, what you want is to travel all over the world for free but thank you for your comments, we can express our feeling for the greedy volunteer just looking for free place to sleep, get food and put their luggage, pls stay away from us.
You do not feel welcome ????? why you do not tell the truth ?? the truth is I pick you up but many volunteer come with grab or taxi, we give you small internet box, I never give this one to the volunteer, you ask for free laundry and we do not provide laundry as mention in our program, you want 3 times food and we give only 2 times food, we are not restaurant and give local food but you were little bit fed up to eat local food, you were not happy because you ask me the possibility to keep this small internet box after leaving our place until your departure from indonesia and I refuse, this is why you are not happy. And about my wife Putu, if she is not really appreciate you, maybe it is come from you, she is always welcome everybody except people think they are in the hotel, she say nothing, she did not get bad attitude or bad behaviour, did not respect you or anothing bad to you.
But anyway, thank you and we hope to never receive greedy people looking for free place with food accomodation, never ever pay gazoline to the students and think students are grab.
We will ask to pay food now, like that we will not receive begpackers anymore

I'm so grateful for this experience at TLC the school (and a bit sad it's over). It was AMAZING ! Miss Putu is so nice and welcoming I felt at home during my time here, the students became my friends now and I hope to meet them again. They are so nice, funny and always willing to show me the best places and local foods. If you want to discover the Balinese culture this is a real immersive experience and I'm already missing it a lot. Thank you again, the words can't describe how happy I am to have all those beautiful memories 🫶🏼

It was a really cool experience. I taught french to the students in the morning and travel around with them on the afternoon. I had kind of "my small group" because my teaching was focus on the future waiters and waitresses, so they easily become my friends. :)

True experience in Bali with local People, far from tourism. I really discovered a part of culture and I enjoyed very much. But if you are searching for going in every touristic places of Bali you will not have it with this experience. We work in the morning and going to do things around with students in the afternoon, and we can not go so far and sometimes it can be hard to have a schedule because they can be busy. But if you are curious you can da lot of other things .

We are looking for volunteers who really looking for local experience with local people far from the tourist place. If some want to mix, better to work in a hostel or another place. I take this opportunity to remind everybody who read this message that the students are not taxi drivers to bring the volunteer to some tourist places. No offense intended to you lutèce and we wish you the best of luck
