What an experience! the guest house Figueira da Foz is perfect if you want to surf everyday, relax in a lovely home, and help this beautiful family run their business. Cece and Nalu went above and beyond and were incredibly welcoming and kind. I always felt comfortable, looked after, and never felt over worked. The workload was easy and achievable within a couple hours if done quickly and Cece always made sure that we had enough time to surf or have free-time which was greatly appreciated. I can't thank Cece and Nalu enough for the highlight of my Europe trip. I will be back!

The two weeks I volunteered here were truly amazing! Communication and organisation were clear and nice and the place is amazing for enjoying the beach, surfing, chilling, day trips to the guest house, beach partying and just having a really fun summer. The work can be a bit tough sometimes but you still have a lot of free time, that you can also plan beforehand. Would definitely recommend to everyone!

Overall, it was a positive experience—the accommodation was comfortable, the facilities were great, and the staff was friendly and supportive. However, I found that the vibe wasn't quite what I was looking for, and I sometimes felt a bit out of place. Despite that, the team tried to make me feel included. I ended up leaving earlier than planned, but that was due to personal reasons and not a reflection on the guest house.

My time at the guest house has been one of the best experiences during my travels. The team is amazing, there's good vibes at the surf house and the beach is very close. The shifts were always communicated in advance, fairly distributed and it was made sure you get a proper introduction. I would definitely recommend the experience and come back myself too.

Volunteering at this hostel for the past 2 months has been an unforgettable experience. It was incredibly fun and rewarding. Puck, the Manager, became a lifelong friend of mine. Caparica became a second home to me, and I am already planning my return. The atmosphere at the hostel is relaxed and enjoyable. The work is easy-going, and the perks are fantastic - delicious dinners, breakfast, surfboards and surf lessons, and plenty of free time to enjoy the surroundings. I absolutely loved my time here. If you're looking for a place with great vibes and excellent benefits, look no further!

I spend the most beautiful 2 months in the guest house, the house felt always like home, the environment was super positive and there is different activities to be entertained with! Bas has been always a great host:) the benefits of volunteering at the guest house where endless, (food,acomodation, surf gear, surf lessons, surfskates, etc) I totally recommend this experience!

To be honest it's hard to imagine better place to stay. People there are welcoming and friendly so you can feel like home since the beginning . Place on its own is really cozy and practical so both working and living there is a pleasure. Tasks are really easy and all of the information is provided in advance, if you are not sure about something, there are always people willing to help you. Schedule is also provided in advance so you can plan some trips on your day off! If you want to spend time of your life in the perfect location definitely apply!!

This place for me has been a real little paradise, good vibes, surf vibes, chill out, like-minded new friends, laugh like hell and an extremly nice company to share moments with. (we also bought enkles for all the crew) It's manage by ducht and Belgian people and they are really amazing. They made up a program so the shifts, and what tasks include, are always easy to know for everyone, it's easy to communicate for every doubt or anything you need to share or talk about. I hope we will see each other again!
