Farm helper at a peaceful sanctuary

This experience was pleasant, the work is quite good and proportional, and they are very respectful if the weather conditions are not optimal, the people are very kind and care about you. The place is good but one thing to keep in mind that could be better is that the common areas for volunteers are not in the best conditions, so you can often find dirty spaces and therefore see rodents.

Our stay was comfortable, the schedules are flexible and the work is simple, the managers are always attentive to whatever you need. There are some things to improve such as the common areas, the bathrooms are outdoors so you have to go out to go to the bathroom, the place needs more cleaning and for the same reason you can see some rats around. We appreciate the experience and the opportunity to learn about the culture :)

Hi everyone!! My experience in the farm it was awesome, I met people over the world, improve my English and learn farm's chores, I learn how to drive a truck 🛻 and different tools, the food is quite good and always we have a lot of 🥘. If you want to know About spiritualism or Krishna you have go to the temple for your own ( is good experience ) We live in the farm and in caravans which is nice and warm but there, you live with “residents” or some like that, and they're dirty, the kitchen and toilets in the caravan for mens are dirty so you should use the other bathrooms 10min to the temple

La experiencia fue bonita, ya que al estar alejados del pueblo puedes comunicarte con loa demás voluntarios y hacer amigos, las tareas son de granja o atención en el goshala y en el jardín, la comida es algo picante , gracias por la pizza y las donas.

I was very disappointed when I arrived and saw that the place where the volunteers lived was in a dirty shed with rats. There were old sofas, the kitchen was equipped but had a strong smell of rat urine. The three meals: breakfast and lunch are served in the temple (delicious) and dinner is served in the shed, can be popcorn, banana cake, pasta or potatoes with rice. The caravan I slept was good, with a heater and a comfortable bunk bed. The work is ok as described, but considering what is offered in return, it's not worth the 6 hours of work. I confess, I was very unmotivated and tired.

I learnt a lot about Hare Krishna and gained skills in farming. I had a great time meeting and working with other travellers and people from all over the world.

It was a good experience, points to improve. The food is very repetitive. If you are going to be on long stays, it becomes a problem, and if work is continuous without breaks, you can make the most of the afternoon. I also stayed in a tent, which needs to be improved. Otherwise, all good

The farm experience was good! I met beautiful people and learned about the Hare Krishna culture. At work some days were harder than others. In general there is respect and trust. In my case the food made me a little sick. Some days there was not good communication within the team, and we did not know, for example, about fasting days, but it is nothing that cannot be improved. I suggest you prepare in advance with some of your own options to eat. The bathrooms and caravans are good! Other spaces could be improved as well. Thank you Ramai and KC for welcoming me and making sure we are well ♡

It was a ok experience. Negative points for me was the accommodation too small and uncomfortable. The food was basically the same every week and with a lack of nutrients. And they receive lots of volunteers but don't have structure to receive well them all. The work was easy in my opinion. KC is a good person and a nice boss. I also loved meeting Achyuta in goshala, good and lovely person. The city is good and the location is an advantage because is close to London.

It was a nice experience, the work wasn't difficult, everyone was very nice, the caravan where we slept wasn't not too bad, the best of all was being able to share with many volunteers from different countries which made my stay fun. The only thing that isn't good is the food as it's Indian Vegetarian food which means a lot of spicy and not much variety to choose from.
