The bar is really cozy, nice and chill! Ana and Facu that work there are great people! The job is simple, hours respected and playing for the costumers is good also. You stay really close to the beach. The volunteers bedroom is upon the bar, better to know there is a little noise because of the freezer machine, and during the day it gets warm. The keyboard they have there is simple, if you play and can bring yours, I recomend!

A Jacob nunca lo conoci en persona, siempre respondió las veces que me comunique por tel. La encargada Ana se comporto responsable y atenta, el ofrecimiento de comida es solo los dias que tocas, a veces suele ser un poco desparejo, pero es entendible porque no todos podemos ofrecer lo mismo. Mi experiencia en duro 2 dias, ya que las condiciones de la habitación no eran las adecuadas para poder vivir durante 2 semanas. Realmente es una habitación extremadamente pequeña y en malas condiciones, donde uno no entra parado y al costado de la cama no entra ni una maleta. Imposible dormir ahi.

Gracias por tu comentario. Me sorprendió la calificación, ya que visitaste el lugar un mes antes y confirmaste que todo estaba bien. Entiendo que al venir con tu pareja buscaban más privacidad, pero eso no justifica una valoración tan baja cuando las condiciones ya eran conocidas. Igual, te deseo lo mejor.

I had such a good time in the host my colleges and the bar manager Anna were just lovely! The perfect place to come for a chill but sometimes challenging volunteering position. Hope to come back!!!

Volunteering at the host was my first volunteer experience, and it couldn't have been better!! The work was super chill, fun and social. Anna was the best manager, making it a fun and cozy atmosphere. Working with her and the other volunteers were always so enjoyable. Working in the bar, or helping in the kitchen. The bar is super nice, and you fall in love right away walking in there. The city is relaxed and calm, and you can find both peace and fun ! Lots of time in the daytime to do whatever you want! Really thankful for my time here <3

I had a great time at the host! The tasks consisted of barkeeping, helping out in the kitchen and making music. We were super free regarding our prefeed genres and Jacob was soo supportive! I slept in a little appartment on top of the bar, which was a cool experience as well. And working together with Anna the manager was so lovely! She is such a sweet person and treated us like her children 🧡 so grateful for this experience 🦋

I volunteered at the host in Sámara and it was really great! The surf is awesome for beginners, and there are many teachers to help you. I made friends on the first day, and the city is fun and relaxed, with good nightlife. Jacob was very helpful, and Anna is the nicest boss you can have. She taught me some cool cocktail tricks. I also learned more Spanish! The bar is really cool with great design and art, and I love how it brings people together with jazz and culture. I recommend it to anyone visiting Sámara!

You are given a small apartment that is less than a 2 minute walk from the beautiful gusto beach. There are many restaurants nearby that are also just a walking distance. Reem is a nice guy who really believes in this project and that's very admirable. Ana is the sweetest. You will mostly work with her as she is bar manager. This place is a little slice of heaven and you only contribute about 5 hours of work at the end of the day. So you have the morning to yourself, I often spent that time surfing and being at the beach. All in all, it was a great experience and I'm hopeful to maybe return.

Hey! It was such a pleasure having you with us at the Microbar. You were the one who got the whole jazz vibe going here – I still can't believe we didn’t get to do a show together because of the rainy season! But we had some really interesting conversations that stuck with me, showing how people from different cultures can connect on such a deep level.
