Join our fun and social hostel in the heart of Santo Domingo's Colonial Zone. We're looking for a handy proactive volunteer to help with basic maintenance tasks - fixing, painting, minor repairs, gardening etc. In exchange, enjoy a free bed in a dorm, free breakfast, a friendly vibe and time to explore the island. Detalhes

This volunteer position is 5 days a week - there are a few set tasks in the morning such as pool maintenance and cleaning, maintaining the garden and plants etc. Along with smaller projects - these can range from painting walls, removing leaves to pretty much anything that you are comfortable doing. Experience in DIY is preferred but there is nothing to complicated.
You get to live the hostel life. We have guests from all over the world so it is a great place to meet other likeminded travelers and explore the city and island. Breakfast is free every day even on days off if you are not out exploring.

There are a few set tasks each working day that need to be completed but it is quite flexible. Tasks can vary from day to day or could be part of a larger project.

Regras

We are laid back but the tasks need to be completed to enable the hostel to run smoothly. Staff and guests need to get on in harmony. Absolutely no drugs, yes weed is a drug and is highly illegal here. You represent the hostel so your behavior reflects on us.
