Live in Milos helping a small business with house maintenance

Minha estadia em Milos foi mais curta do que o esperado. Foi minha primeira experiência com a worldpackers e infelizmente não foi tão boa. Não acho que os benefícios compensem as situações de estresse desse trabalho. A comunicação era difícil e o trabalho em alguns dias vai muito mais além do que o que é dito na plataforma. O anfitrião pode ser muito difícil de lidar, grita, e é rude. Todo o trabalho é feito pelos viajantes, já que eles não tem funcionários. Para mim não faz sentido exigir um trabalho profissional de viajantes que estão lá pra serem uma ajuda extra.

My Loren, you were just incapable to work or to help us even though before coming you pormised that you know. Maybe our worst experience in work during the 3 years that we use worldpacking. And apart of that, except of brazilian, you couldnt speak even english, or understand what we were saying to you. How could we be happy with you? Bad choice by our side, that of course didn t went well. It was our error.

This was my first Worldpackers experience and didn't know exactly what to expect, but Vasilis and Melissa made me feel welcomed from the first day. I arrived at the end of the season so there wasn't much work to do, the tasks were manageable and easy to complete. The working hours were reasonable with plenty of free time to explore the island. Apart from the work, they also took us on fun trips and adventures. Thank you guys for making this experience unforgettable and hope to see you soon!☺️

I felt very welcome from the first moment I was there. The tasks were not to hard and the hours were respected. Milos is a because island with nice nature and nice people.

Que lindo haber hecho mi primer voluntariado con ustedes en Milos! Conoci personas muy copadas y comparti momentos hermosos. El trabajo es variado y sencillo de aprender en cuestión de dias, con tareas varias que van desde limpiar, ordenar y regar plantas hasta cuidar de los gatitos que pasan por comida! Disfrute mucho los paseos por la isla, las charlas, las comidas compartidas, y ver delfines uno de los últimos días guauuu!cerro como broche de oro en mi retina. Prime example of what volunteering at its best feel like. Assertive communication, pleasure on teaching and many incredible memories besides hours of work :) I couldn't be happier after this time in Milos, small island with big spot in my heart. Get to know a place through the eyes of someone that loves it is priceless. Thank you, Vasileios, for the opportunity and trust.

I really couldn't wish for a better place to spend my days in Greece than Milos and these amazing people. From the first moment I arrived I felt really welcomed. Vasilis and Melissa were really kind and easygoing and I am glad I was able to practice my spanish with them and other volunteer. Working hours were as agreed and it was really nothing too difficult. Island itself is wonderful and place we're staying was well connected with other beaches. I won't forget game night they organised during Euro basket cup when my team was playing. I am really thankful for this :)

I had such an amazing time in Milos, it is such a beautiful island and Vasilis and Melissa were so kind to me I am so glad we had the pleasure of meeting each other:) I got to explore the entire island and it was nice meeting other volunteers as well. The tasks are not difficult and I enjoyed that every day was something different. They are fair with the hours and I had plenty of time to enjoy Milos. Thank you so much for this wonderful experience and for the amazing hospitality, I already miss Milos so much and could not have asked for a better experience!

My experience at the guest house was really positive. Working hours was as agreed,. For a better experience for applicants, it's good that you have a can do attitude and be proactive. As some days can be fast paced and, it's beneficial to you know what to do. I'm so grateful for the welcoming energy they shared with me. And, extra love from Vasilis parents who I spent time chatting and who showed so much kindness, even we not speaking the same language. Melissa and Vaisilis are very open and positive. Thank you for showing me beautiful places and for being so welcoming with me!! ❤️

Increíble el tiempo que pasé en Milos. El trabajo no es nada del otro mundo: solo hace falta tener ganas de hacer y aprender. Incluso si no sabes, el lugar y el ambiente hacen que todo sea más fácil. Vasi y Meli hicieron que esa experiencia fuera aún más especial. Vasi es un personaje único, muy amigable y lleno de sabiduría. Sin duda, aprendí muchísimo con él. Y Meli... una persona de gran corazón, siempre cariñosa y atenta. Ambos hicieron de esta experiencia algo inolvidable. ¡MUCHAS GRACIAS! ¡Los quiero y espero poder volver!

The past 4 weeks has been a truly amazing experience. Vasileios and Melissa are fantastic, very welcoming, easy going and with a great sense of humour. I had the pleasure of getting to know Vasileios and his family during this time and this was very special, particularly over the Easter weekend where I was able to share the island's traditions with them! The volunteering tasks are varied and provided a good balance of challenges which has allowed me to learn different exercises between the holiday homes and boats maintenance. Thank you Vasileios and Melissa! 🫶🏽
