I 100% recommend this experience! I had the most amazing experience here in the school. There are so many benefits as a volunteer that has made my time in the school extremely affordable and enjoyable. Helping the locals practice English has been such a great experience for me. Though I am traveling solo, I have never felt lonely while I was here! The people are so kind and helpful and I felt like I was part of the community. I am sad that my experience will be over soon, but I would love to come back one day and stay longer.

Volunteering at the school was a really great way to connect with the locals of the city. We made friends who took us around showing us all the cool spots to hang out and eat. The people who work there are all very cool and super respectful to the agreed hours and making sure you're comfortable. The lunch that we got everyday was really great and something I always looked forward to. Overall I had a lot of fun connecting with the locals and other volunteers and would recommend this experience if you're looking for a calm place to stop for a while.

DO IT!! I had the a very wonderful experience at South American Language Center in the school. There are so many benefits as a volunteer that has made my time in the school extremely comfortable & enjoyable. Helping locals practice English has been such a rewarding experience for me. I made lots of friends through my short time there and never felt lonely! With places like Quito and Banos near, having a boring weekend is basically nonexistent. I really felt like i was embraced by the community! I am sad that my experience has ended, but I plan to come back and stay longer.

I had a wonderful experience at the school, though it was not what I signed up for. I applied to a role specifically advertised as art, photography, and creative work, so I was under the impression that I would either be taking part in or leading these activities. In reality, these activities don't really exist, and my job was one-on-one English speaking with students to practice language with a native speaker. If you are very social and want to meet people, this is for you! If you want to do art, maybe not, at least in its current form.
