A experiência na fazenda foi muito legal, me diverti bastante, aprendi muito de algo que eu sabia bem pouco. Pratiquei idiomas e vivi um estilo de vida diferente. O trabalho às vezes é um pouco cansativo, mas existem pausas que ajudam bastante.

The work can be tough at first, especially for those without experience, but together we even built a new roof for the garage — with plenty of kombucha breaks along the way! Minha experiência na fazenda do Simon e Jessica foi muito boa. Horários seguidos a risca, sem passar sequer 1 minuto a mais. As tarefas são árduas mas de fato possuem um impacto ambiental e consegui sair muito mais conectado com a natureza os animais! A comida também é excelente, e o quarto bemmm confortável. Indicaria pra um amigo sem dúvidas!

Foi muito bom estar com Simon e Jessica. Os trabalhos são diversos, sempre pela manhã. Alimentamos os animais diariamente, fizemos reparos, cuida os da horta e começamos uma bioconstrução. O espaço é ótimo, dormitórios bons, comida generosa e deliciosa :) a cidade é tranquila e você passa a conhecer um pouco sobre a cultura boliviana. recomendo!

A experiência que tive em Mizque não poderia ter sido melhor. Simon e Jess fazem um grande trabalho no espaço, e a troca valeu muito a pena, agreguei conhecimentos e valores a vida pessoal. Somente agradecimentos! O trabalho é realizado pela parte da manhã e descanso pela tarde, a comida é farta e muito boa! A cabana que ficamos era linda. Podemos conhecer mais da cultura local, aprender mais sobre a Bolívia e agregar conhecimentos e trocas sobre permacultura, bioconstrução e vida em comunidade.

My partner and I volunteered on Simon's permaculture farm for just over 2 weeks. We were mainly house sitting while Simon was abroad but spent some quality time when he returned. In that short amount of time we had together we learnt many different things about sustainability and permaculture. We would highly recommend this experience to any backpacker. Simon was super easy to get along with, he is extremely attentive & accommodating and the communication was perfect.

A wonderful stay with Simon- learnt so much and felt very welcomed. I loved learning about his work in the farm and his life within the community. He goes above and beyond to integrate you into the local area, whilst sharing his knowledge about Permaculture. Honestly would recommend this to anyone and I would love to come back one day!

We had two wonderful weeks with Simon! Our role was to create videos for their social media, and what we loved was also having the opportunity to tinker, gardening and participate in the life of the place Simon and Jessica created. Simon was very attentive during those two weeks and made sure we all felt comfortable during our stay. Our days were filled with great moments, delicious meals, lots of board games, and we also got to discover life in Mizque thanks to Simon. Thank you again for everything! And maybe see you another time 😊

It's worth it!! I had an amazing time at the farm: fun, delicious and full of learning. During my 3week intern I worked on designing, making and implementing a solar oven. 1st goal: make a working one with cheap and accessible material so it's replicable across the Center. While making this I learned plenty of skills with their nice tools like woodworking, welding, metalworking, designing. 2nd goal: try to make solar ovens widely used in the Center by making documentation for carpenters how to use and make it. This part isn't done yet but we're still working on it (this shows Simon's dedication!)

I had a wonderful time at the Center! Simon and Jessica are amazing hosts who made me feel like part of the family from day one. The homemade food was delicious, they even took me out to eat, and we always had a great time playing board games after meals. Since I stayed for a month, I also had the chance to develop my own project building a rocket oven — thank you, Simon, for the trust and opportunity! P.S.: I'll really miss going to bed with a smile after winning chess games against Simon 😆
