My woofing stay with Jacqueline in Bolton was an enriching experience. For a month, I had the opportunity to take part in various tasks, from gardening, repairing and painting the staircase, to wallpapering the hall. Jacqueline has a clear vision of how the work should be done, which sometimes made communication a little bit difficult. For the rest of the time, despite my low level of English, she made an effort to initiate discussions and advised me on exercises, which helped me to improve my English. She also gave me time to work on a personal project.

I thoroughly enjoyed Quentin’s stay and he was a great help. I wish him luck with future ventures.

My opinion is in base to 4 days because I had familiar problems and I had to return to Spain. In general was good. The bedroom was comfortable. Despite the volunteer was good I think you need to know some specific relevant things: There is no wifi and the data signal isn't so good. The owner will suggest for your clothes, wash the underwear, socks, etc by hand. She is trying to save electricity. The owner talks a lot and she has a lot of stories, so if you want to improve your listening skills this is good. She is so friendly and for sure she has a don for cooking, all the food was delicious.

I am glad Jorge enjoyed the comfortable bed and my cooking. He was very helpful in removing wallpaper in preparation for renovation of the hallway. I was not so happy when he announced he had to depart suddenly, as I usually require at least 5 days to find a replacement volunteer. Broadband (WiFi) is very expensive in the U.K., so volunteers need to pay for their own data usage. Good luck with future ventures.
