Thank you to Dario, Matea, Milan and Anna for such a wonderful first experience volunteering! Matea and Dario were such kind hosts and respected the agreed upon hours. Milan and Anna were amazing to work with, both of them are so kind and helped so much! Tasks were as described, doing laundry, checking in guests and taking them to different buildings. Perhaps the hosts could provide a little more given the amount of hours you work e.g food. But Overall loved it and recommend it!

Me encanto! Voluntariado inolvidable ❤️

The tasks were as agreed on and easy, the volunteers had an own building as there were not many guests during the low season and the location is great! Even though the hostel has 7 buildings they are all close and easy to remember. Especially the Sangria nights were a good activity to bond with guests and hang out with the other volunteers. Unfortunately the hostel only provides tea and coffee but no food.

Overall my time at the hostel was great! I loved meeting and becoming close with the other volunteers and workers. My favourite tasks were hosting sangria night and the pub crawls. Matea and the team were lovely and welcoming. Some things to note is that scheduling is not always flexible and you may be required to work more hours than expected. However, I was generally compensated when I worked extra hours. Altogether, I learnt a lot, enjoyed the hostel and loved the hostel experience! :)

My experience at the hostel was great. I had so much fun with the other volunteers and getting to know the wonderful staff (shoutout Anna, Milan, Matea). The jobs has its ups and downs. Some of the shifts were exhausting: constantly walking in the heat, carrying heavy bags, working past agreed hours. Other shifts were super fun: reception and check ins, socializing with guests, leading the events. I do think the amount of work they ask for is too much in exchange for just accommodation. Overall I'm thankful that I did this exchange and I will miss Dubrovnik and everyone at the hostel!

Overall great experience at the hostel, beautiful location to settle for a month during a hectic period of travelling. Solid hiring process means that the other volunteers are generally great value, and the full time staff are good people. Frustrating dealing with some outdated systems which haven't scaled well as the hostel has grown. Provided constructive feedback pretty consistently but leadership seem to be slightly adverse to change. Hopefully during the quiet season they make some improvements. Also personally believe that the workload is a bit much for a volunteering experience.

The hostel was such a fun experience. I do think 6 hours a day is a bit much for only getting accommodations. However, I had a great experience and really enjoyed being in Dubrovnik.

The month I spent in Croatia was amazing but I wouldn't go back to work at this hostel or recommend a friend to work at the hostel. The amount of work you are doing does not make up for the living situation and they expect a lot of extra work from the volunteers. There were no real discounts given by the hostel for food or experiences and the only tours we lead were walks to the beach and a weekly bar crawl. This the hostel is so expensive that though it was nice to have a free stay but it's hard to live there sustainably without any other perks from the hostel.

I enjoyed my time at the hostel, and I met a lot of amazing people. However, communication from the manages was minimal; volunteers wouldn't get our schedules for each week until late Sunday night (sometimes after midnight) making it difficult to plan anything. Additionally, some aspects of the experience weren't communicated well beforehand. Volunteers stay far from the main building of the hostel and up a massive flight of stairs. Also, leading activities isn't a big part of the experience, even though that's noted on the site - the vast majority of the work is reception and cleaning.

Anna and Milan are amazing and kind, and I had a great time with the guests and other volunteers. However, the exchange for 30 hours a week is minimal: no discounts, no free tours, and you rarely lead activities, contrary to what was promised. The accommodation is inconvenient, far from guests, and behind the scenes, the hostel is poorly managed. Volunteers are undervalued, often performing multiple roles without proper scheduling or compensation. The situation could improve with fewer hours, more activity leadership, and meal provisions. Keep this in mind if you sign up.
