Volunteered at the hotel for two months, was such a great experience. Playa grande is a beautiful relaxed surf town, surrounded by jungle and great waves. The location is amazing a two minute walk to the beach and the shifts are varied so you have plenty of time to go surfing. The staff were the absolute highlight to my experience, the bar and activities staff were so welcoming and they became some of my great friends. Overall this experience was amazing and I would recommend it to anyone wanting a chill spot to make friends, surf and be immersed in a beautiful location

This was an amazing opportunity that I'm so glad to have been a part of! The atmosphere was super easygoing; I spent my days surfing, playing pool, swimming, going on day trips, and generally chilling. The staff were so wonderful and became good friends to me, greatly enhancing my experience. The room was very comfortable and the bartending work was fun and as agreed upon. I had an issue requesting shift changes and was unhappy with how it was handled, specifically with failed communication within management and to me. Otherwise, my time here was fantastic and I would happily recommend it!

This was my first world packers so I do not have anything to compare to but it was great. The staff and locals are super welcoming, including, and nice. I worked at the hotel in the off season so it was not busy most of the time but if you are here in high season I can imagine it is a lot of work. The hours and task are what is agreed upon before arrival. If you like to surf this is paradise for you. Costa Rica is hard to het around so do not expect that you will see a lot, but you can still experience some nearby towns. Everyone here speaks English. The accommodations are great!

My stay at the hotel was absolutely incredible I cannot recommend it enough! It was my first trip with world packers so I was apprehensive headed in but the entire team made me feel so at ease by day 1. You very quickly become part of the hotel family and there is a real sense of community there. It's a beautiful area with plenty of time to relax and explore outside of work. the hotel team are very receptive to feedback and I felt very comfortable talking through any potential problems with them. If you decide to join the hotel team you won't regret it I already can't wait to head back there <3

My experience at the hotel was fantastic! From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful. They take the opportunity of volunteering seriously and provide you with all the information you need to succeed. The full-time staff is so fun, spirited, and excited to help you blend into the hotel community seamlessly. The rooms are cool and comfortable and the daily meals are always tasty, accommodating of special diets, and prepared with love. The schedule for the next week is provided in advance and there is flexibility if you need to request time off. the hotel is wonderful!

I had a great time at the hotel. Being so close to the beach was unbeatable and getting to know the team was priceless. I've made so many friends and meaningful connections through my time in Grande. I'll be back no doubt, gracias para todos familia <3

Incredible place! the hotel has amazing facilities and even more amazing food for you (gracias Juanca, melvin, darling wanda and all the cooking staff). The vibes are really cool you get to hang out with locals and people from all over the world since the hotel is kind the meeting spot in playa grande (25 minutes away from tamarindo if you wanna party too 😉) The room is small but confortable and everything is new including the AC. If you are looking where to stay near tamarindo this is the place for you!

Volunteering at the hotel has been such an amazing experience! From the very first second everyone was so welcoming and open that I felt immediately at home. the hotel feels like the heart of Playa Grande, where everyone comes to hang and meet new people. Playa Grande is not the biggest town, but because of that I really felt a community vibe where you already know half of the town in just a few weeks! Overal, I loved working at the bar, as it is a great way to interact and have fun and the food was always delicious! Would 100% recommend!!!

My time at the hotel has been truly amazing. Since the first day I stepped foot here everyone has been so welcoming and kind. Every single person of the staff has made sure that I felt comfortable in every way and I couldn't be any more grateful for my experience. The working hours were always respected and left me enough time to go enjoy the day. The schedule changed every week, but they were always sent it at least a week in advanced. The shifts could vary which I personally liked in order to enjoy different things at different times of the day and not miss out . I would absolutely recommend!<3

My experience in the hotel has been amazing! I have nothing to say against it, the Bartending position was super fun and exciting, it was my first time doing so but they instructed me and where super easy going about it. I felt welcomed since the first day and included within the staff as if I've been there for ages. The food is exquisite, the room is a bit small but you've got everything you need and it gets comfy and the hostel itself is one of the best here around in Playa Grande. I'd absolutely recommend this place to everyone!!
